    Your dream job!

Well I think it's safe to say that no one dreams bigger than us INFPs.

What's your dream job/career? Is that what you're doing now/on the way to achieving? Or is it something you'll be keeping in the deep dark fissures of your mind...?

My dream is to front an electro band. Too bad I can't sing! I would play the keyboard and write lovely neon circular songs. I would wear plastic and glass performing live. I think about this every day.

But I know it's not going to happen. I'm going on to study psychology, the second-best.

Dreaming REALLY big, I'd like to be the sociologist who finally manages to develop some kind of perfect plan for a civilization, where everyone's each and every emotional need is met, where people can be individuals without furiating each other, and where people can meet life's ups and downs without getting too overwhelmed.

More realistically, maybe a professor, psychologist, neuroscientist, sociologist... something like that. I've thought about being an exit counselor and fighting cults for a living... Hahaha XD. Maybe I could work with spirituality for a living, find out what makes a person spiritually healthy.

Well, there's my fanatical dreaming for ya.

my dream job is to dream
if i can use my 24 hours a day freely, I would spend 22 hours dreaming, and 2 hours remembering.
very unproductive i know, but what's reality anyway.
If the end of both the dream world and reality are the same: death, then the end result doesn't matter.
What matters is the process, the process of dreaming.

besides that, i've always dreamed to be a movie director.

The chef for a commune... Of course there wouldn't be pay, 'cause we wouldn't need that in a commune.

My ultimate dream job is to be a professional musician with a symphony like the London Philharmonic or something similar. I gave up on that when I was fourteen and realized how much practice it would require. I had the potential to at least possibly go semi-professional had I wanted to, but I rarely practiced outside school and thus created a plateau for myself.

My realistic and achievable dream job is to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner working with the same population I work with now - persistently and chronically mentally ill w/addictions. I can and will achieve this. At least sometime before I die. In the meantime, just living life to the greatest possible extent is my job.

My dream job, is something where i'm able to express my creative side, and have it come to reality. There's no greater feeling then having something pop from your head into reality. Every dream, every thought, every piece of inspiration I've found in my life, epitomized in my work is something that i strive for in every piece of artwork i do. So far i feel like for my own personal goals Graphic Design is the only course that gives me the flexibility of influence and freedom. But it's also where i run into my biggest problem, I feel like Graphic Design is only half of the artistic experience, sure it pays well, but ideally my goal isn't to get paid. My goal is to spread my ideas, morals, and feelings towards the world to make it a better more fun interesting unified place to be. Money will always be second to happiness, in my book. Graphic Design has a huge impact on our world, simply because it's everywhere. I feel like if i can get that goal into reality then i'll have reach my true happiness, and potential.
I have the ideas, but i don't have the skills quite yet, i think with enough hard work i'll be there someday. Just gotta take one day at a time.

I'd love to be a diplomat specializing in the Germanic and Scandanavian countries. Issue being I'm seventeen and I only know a little bit of German, it's going to be difficult for me to learn all those languages. As is I'm going into psychology, just as good I think

My dream job was once to become a truck driver. The ideals of cross-country road trips and the open road appealed to my 4 year old self. Not sure when I lost that dream, or maybe I never did.

My dream job was once to become a priest. I was so fearful of the fire/brimstone speeches that I was willing to put in a lifetime of church service for an eternity of good times. Luckily, I was 8 at the time and soon learned to question and develop my own sense of spirituality.

My dream job was once to be a professional musician. I made the mistake of trying to collaborate with other “artists”, the problem being most musicians had no interesting in playing music for themselves – they just sought the rock star life and had no intentions of putting in the work to get there. After several exhausting years, I finally realized that I should have just did it all myself, but lost the will to do so.

My dream job was once to become a park ranger. Then I realized I would never be able to pay the bills doing so. I settled for a environmental consulting as my 9-5 – not a bad compromise, but not quite as fulfilling as I desire. A corporate slave in the end.

My current dream job is to become a professional poker player. Although not as glamorous (and much more grueling) as it’s made out to be. However the thought of making my own hours and having only myself to rely on is quite a pull. Semi-pro is a possibility, but a full plunge may be too far out of the comfort zone.

My future dream job will likely be to write, but I wonder if I’ll ever get there. Several stories and novels have been started - some on paper and others in my head, but none completed.
