I'm planning out my first tattoo - actually, I know what I want and I've been shopping around and I found an artist I really like yesterday. He estimated the price around $120-150, so I'm doing some side work for it. I'm really eager.

It's tiny, and you won't see people using it a lot to benchmark various hardware.

Ugh benchmarking haha. Yeah it is a tad too small, but it's more convenient that Fraps and the GeForce Experience one - both of which sometimes break the steam overlay for games. I've just wanted a simple tool to see what the FPS is and that works really well so far. Not much interested in anything past that (and taking screenshots which Steam already does as well).

I don't want to control my emotions, I want to wrestle with them. I want to be the a lonely sailor on a small boat, my fate decided by the whims of nature. Fight the waves and struggle with the wind, enduring the storms and rest when the sea lies calm. But I don't want to control neither weather nor sea, that would just take the fun out of life.

Have you considered presenting a convincing argument to your emotions?

The silliest image just popped into my head as I was contemplating sweatshops and who poverty benefits, and how it really does have a role to play in the world as we know it.

And then was thinking 'yep. The world cannot run on charity.'

And imagining a charitable organization to support the huge multinationals that thrive off of cheap labor...some country club decides for the day to do a 'charity' and work for what...idk...fifteen hours that day for free, to keep the world running smoothly.

IDK why, it was a very silly thought...a bunch of rich people organizing a charity sweatshop work day for multinationals. But it's true--the world really can't function off of charity alone. I am very confident a small group of rich people wouldn't actually be able to fulfill the labor demands of sweatshops, no matter how charitably hearted they are...even a single, overtime day of hard labor, which would probably seem like quite a 'donation' to some, would be just a drop in the bucket of the needs of a multinational. It simply cannot function off of charity from the rich--the job demands something a bit more secure, like poverty.
