If a fiction writer's professed goal is to write for 'the' reader, then how is it possible to categorically state whether or not changes in the editing process 'strengthen' or 'weaken' any piece if a writer assumes that readers are likely to have different questions and expectations informed by reading/genre preferences (another questionable assumption in itself--genres are not 'static' and not all genre devotees read the same way simply because of reading preferences). Isn't it more reasonable to infer and conclude that what 'strengthens' or 'weakens' any piece is determined by an individual reader's interpretation and perception--not what's solely 'there' on the page as decided by the author?

Homo economicus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In economics, homo economicus, or economic human, is the concept in many economic theories of humans as rational and narrowly self-interested actors who have the ability to make judgments toward their subjectively defined ends. Using these rational assessments, homo economicus attempts to maximize utility as a consumer and economic profit as a producer.[1] This theory stands in contrast to the concept of e.g. homo reciprocans, which states that human beings are primarily motivated by the desire to be cooperative and to improve their environment.

Is it just me, or is Taylor Swift's new music video basically Too Many Cooks?

...oh wait, it's not just me.

It would be hilarious if it was actually inspired by Too Many Cooks. Like that time I found a McDonalds commercial on Youtube that I SWEAR TO GOD was inspired by Enter the Void. And I have never been able to find it again!!

I can't really believe these news websites exist...

It is absolutely treasonous of them to feed into the propaganda that these absolute evil people crave. It is beyond words what these depraved monsters do their own mankind, and how this website promotes, and feeds off of the absolute destruction of humanity. You trivialize lives to body counts, as if it is normal...

    I don't understand it.

So...from reading another thread about functions, it was suggested that the introverted judging function is sort of the architect for the extroverted judging function, which is assigned to craft the vision of it.

And then...the introverted functions sort of melt together...so the other introverted perceiving function would also be part of this blueprint.

So for NFP it would be Fi and Si. These are the functions responsible for our inner image that we seek to impose upon external reality eventually.

And our method for doing so would be Te and Ne. Ne imagining various things about the external environment, and Te organizing and sorting it into form.

But Te is mostly unconscious and so we have very little control over how we are affecting our external environment (or very little awareness of our affect). Te is sort of putting plans together, but for Fi Si this would be more like proper traditions that last and also are "true" to the core of what is good and makes life meaningful. Something lasting and ideal.

But I also wonder then, how Te acts when it's unconscious. Te is the strategy and Fi is the goal. But the same thing goes for the Je types--because their introverted judging function is responsible for the goal or end result (just as their introverted perceiving function also forms this).

I think...this probably belongs in the vent section.

:)) when I get the attention of an ENFJ I usually run the other way but I can't deny there are some moments Fe-doms are the cutest, haha the guy handles all social situations in the best way possible

EDIT: whoups turns out he is -now- an ENTP on celebrity types and the quotes totally defy the Fe-dom. hmm I never got ENTP vibes from him though

My mouth was so dry and nasty, this morning, that I had a dream about balancing across a tightrope over a pool of thick, brown, lumpy shit and, of course, I fell in, more than once.

Last week, I had a dream that Justin Bieber came out with a new hit song that related to finding Jesus and when I woke up, I recorded the way I remembered how the song sounded, thinking I could be on to something, if I could just replace the words with my own works and find a beat that is somewhat close to what I had in mind.

...I still have the voice memos in my phone
