Confession; soulmate, I've always put you first.. I realize more and more of how first you really are.

The first most solid, most stable, most steady, most passionate, most intense and most real relationship of my life. I value our time together every day, all the hours you spent being the one there for me.

You know this already (I hope, lol) -- I will honor my commitment to you forever.

And this confession overshadows too many of my previous confessions in this thread 2010-2012. So this is like a mark, engraved, lol.

I go to the debate thread and some of those debates remind why I am generally apathetic towards debates and debating now. Not to say all of them are out of hand, but some of them are nothing more than mud slinging and name calling. They don't stay on topic and they go to logical extremes. I know it's hard not to get emotional in a debate. I do all the time. This is kinda ridiculous though. On that note though, I love to watch them unfold. It sounds a little twisted of me, and this is the confession part, but I love to see people debate and rustle each others jimmies sometimes. I don't like conflict that much, but when people clash online in debate and it just becomes incredibly stupid, I can't help but chuckle.

For example, I saw a debate on facebook about feminism. Obviously it got more out of control than on this site. Here's how it went and I changed names to protect the people. Troll will be "T" and Mad Woman will be "MW". All of what they said is unedited.

MW: I can't believe how men think they can whistle at me while I'm out walking! This why I'm a feminist we need to rid the world of these pigs!

T: Calm down. He just whistled. Don't act so hurt over it.

MW: Don't tell me to calm down!

    T: Damn, bitches be crazy.

MW: It's men like you who probably defend men in Africa who rape babies and virgins believing it will cure their aids!!!

At this point it became an all out free for all of insults and verbal abuse. Damn that escalated quickly! (In the words of Ron Burgundy)

That's not debate and that was way out of line. See how fast it strayed into angry territory? Me thinks it's better to stay out of such things. This is partially why I have been apathetic towards debates and such lately.

Some days I wonder if I am really cut out for social sciences when I get really pissed off thinking about the injustices everywhere. Sure, I'm adept at analyzing this material, but some days it just makes me angry and sad that we live in a world that mistreats so many. I hate to think I'm fragile, but maybe I am...everything gets to me.

another confession... An elderly woman from my community died recently and I could not bring myself to visit her in the hospital or attend her funeral. Again, I worry that my own sensitivity is my worst enemy. I feel ashamed that I couldn't be there for her and for her family.

It's also frustrating knowing that most people don't understand this because I have chosen not to tell them about my emotional nature in its entirety. I can only wonder what assumptions people make when I'm not there, like at the funeral, maybe they think I don't care -- and the truth is quite the opposite.

Negativity is in my top three sources of stress, and the worst part is that it is something I can potentially control and it makes the other top sources of stress even more stressful.

I've had this dirty little secret. I picked up smoking again for three weeks after quitting for nine months. It was blissful at first. Then it got shameful, which turned into depressing. Then I threw out my pack. I feel relieved, a bit lighter somehow.

Haha, I'll just pretend my avatar is smoking a joint in that cigarette extender. I still occasionally smoke those. Plus it's even more exciting when you consider the idea that her she's smoking illicit substances on top of that baby ;D

Ugh. I'm so sick of this. On one side I can see the possibility of my boyfriend lying to save his ass, but on the other I can see how the rumours could've gotten blown waaay out of proportion, and a bit of pack mentality going on in his group. It shouldn't matter anyway. I'll stand by him. I'm just so confused.
