@Kaspa I think you'll always find employment. The question is, how financially stable do you need to be, do you have a family to support or do you plan to have one soon (not hypothetically). What do you need employment for. I was always afraid to chase after my dreams because people were scarring me off with unemployment. Boo hoo! Recently I had two conversations with career counsellor and she suggested that with my extraordinary (in her opinion) language skills and education I should go for some outsourcing crap. It sounded like a high job position to me. HR also sounds impressive to me, I mean, when you work in a huge company in HR you have to be someone.

Two weeks later I had another talk with her, so the night before I went through job offers in the companies I suggested and I read about the responsibilities. The next day I was ready to told her that actually I'd like it much better if I was a waitress or a barrister, it would be way more fulfilling than working in administration of a huge corporation. And I really mean that. We all have this urge to worry about social status and money when most of us really don't, and we end up in some INFP hell, just because it's stable and the other ways are supposed to end bad for us. But this is bad! Boring job is as bad as it can get for me. So you'll always find a job that gives you money. If you want your DreamJob, but everyone says PracticalJob (which requires a lot of personal investment and time before you get there), but in fact doing this PracticalJob sounds as enjoyable to you as doing the JobAvailableToEveryone, then go for DreamJob, and if your life would not turn the way you want it (though it's not probable) you can always do some JobAvailableToEveryone while waiting for your dream to come true. That is, if you don't need much money. Btw, it's not wrong to want much money. If you do want much money because of your other dreams or family matters, then this solution is not perfect, look for a different one.

Thanks doris88. Your response was very enlightening. I would rather do less paying job that is interesting than a job that doesn't carry interest for me and does pay. I've talked about this with my ESFJ mother, who is rather hardworking fellow. She is kind of person who says practicaljob is the one that would be the best, but honors my decision whatever it will be. On the other hand, she has supported our family along with my father and I don't have similar family-related responsibilities that they have. I would die inside by doing some job that gives only money but nothing else.

ohhh! you must expand on that Luke, I fire the odd 'cloaked enquiry' out here and there....of what did your probing constitute?

First I asked him if he considered himself an introvert or an extrovert. He said introvert and told me what he felt about being an introvert. He told me that sometimes he wishes he was more outgoing and assertive. Then to try and determine if he is N or S, I asked him if he preferred abstract theoretical ideas, or more concrete and practical things. He said he liked more abstract and theoretical things. Then I asked him if he favoured his feelings and his emotions or logic. He said he definitely favoured feelings. Then to determine if he was P or J, I asked him if he was more concerned with the future and possibilities or if was more concerned with living in the moment. He said he was more concerned with the past and future and that this leads to him spending much of his time day dreaming.

He never asked if I was testing him and it actually seemed like quite a nice way to get to know someone.
