I did yoga a few times, never enough to become hooked. I can't seem to focus when doing it.

I used to "do" a lot of Yoga and I loved it but I haven't done it recently though.

I LOVE Yoga! It makes me feel so amazing, and it connects with my personal spiritual beliefs perfectly. I just need to do it consistantly, i keep taking breaks for too long :(

How about DVD recommendations? Anyone know any good ones? There are approximately 95,349 yoga DVDs out there and I don't know what's what.

I have not tried yoga more than a couple times, but I have done meditation quite often. I should do it more.

Simply speaking about what I know, however -- meditation, it is very good.

For me personally, yoga has helped me fight off bouts of anxiety and depression-- it definitely boosts the mood if you stay with it and grow to like it. I also find that my muscles feel a lot less tense after a session, and my strength and flexibility have increased. There are many different types of yoga to choose from as well: some slower, some faster depending on your preference.

If you want to start out doing yoga at home, Yogatic's channel on Youtube has many great videos. That way, all you need is a mat and possibly some yoga blocks, and you'll be ready to go. My advice, however, would be to buy a good- quality mat that might be a little more expensive, as you won't slip as much, and the mat will last longer. I've got a Nike mat that I've had for almost three years, and it's still holding up quite nicely.
