I suppose most of the music I listen to is "thoughtful" or would probably be considered "melancholic" by some. Looking through my list, a majority of the artists make music that would probably be considered melancholic most although I never thought of it in that way. I just like music that I can relate to, stirs my soul and makes me think.

I loved John Mayer's music... but ever since he's been a douchbag in the press all I can think about is his douchebagness when I listen to him now. :(

Same type thing happens when I try to watch any Tom Cruise movie.
