This seems to happen to me a lot. I'm ninteen-years-old and everywhere around me friends seem to get getting together with someone. I recently became attracted to another person until it was made clear that nothing would happen. Then, as if on que, nearly all of my single friends started dating people.

Let me clear up anything that I would draw questions from:
I'm happy for all of my friends, I really, really am.
I agree with the reasons as to why I can't be with this person, and I'm currently trying to get over her.
I've been single for five months and am finally as over my ex as I'm going to be. There will always be a place for him in my heart, but that's just the way things are.

I rarely seem to like people - I've only really liked a total of four people in my life. People seem to be attracted to me, but if I don't like them back, this doesn't make me happy at all. I even often cry after turning them down because I feel so bad for hurting them. And every time I do wind up liking someone, something gets in the way - they don't like me, we're not right for dating, I can't gather the courage to tell them, or they can't handle me - and I wind up heart broken and sulk for weeks.

And when I see other people together, it almost feels like a slap in the face. I'm the only one that shows up alone and I have to listen to them talk about their boy/girlfriends. It's painful.

I'm not asking for comfort, I just want to know if this happens to other people. stories of all sorts are apriciated. I want to not feel so alone in this.

I'm caught in a love pentagram.
I've got alot of outside interests to which I am very tempted, but I refuse to give chance, a chance.

Going with the sure bet, and keeping the rest on a double knotted shoestring seems the only way I get to bake my cake and eat it too.

Which makes me a down right bad person.

Anyways, yeah I get i'm bad, and I tell them out straight I'm with someone...
...but I never cease to impress.

I'm the kind of guy, that if I'm "interested", I can weave such a tight net that you CANNOT just let go.
