    Oh, I forgot:

The poems of a Norwegian poet called Inger Hagerup is just wonderful!
I have no idea if they have been translated to english, but I think that perhaps the brilliance of the poems would be lost in translation, which is really sad, because her poems are the some of the best poems ever written! (And I usually don't even like poetry.)

It seems like a lot of you enjoy Dostoyevsky novels. (Not going to look it up.) I have read the Idiot. It was scary. :/

A lot of you also like "The Unbearable Lightness of Being." I remember JoleneSummers telling me about it in the chatroom. I'll have to check it out soon.

    Thus Spoke Zaruthustra, Nietszche
    Eye to Eye, Ken Wilbur
Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious, Carl Jung
Touched with Fire, Kay Redfield Jamison
No Man is an Island, Thomas Merton
    Dreams, Memories, Reflections, Carl Jung
A Critique of Pure Reason, Immanuel Kant
    The Republic, Plato

I figured I had to step up my game after reading some of your selections. :D If any of you want to talk about idea's, then lets do it!!! :D Also I bolded Dreams, Memories, Reflections because it kicks ass.

Paulo Coelho, yuck! Hs books make me want to die. Not because they're sad, because they're just... terrible. But that's just me, I suppose.

I'm not much of a reader, but I really liked Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha and Demian.

Based off of that, can anyone recommend some books you think I'd like?

The Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior, Dan Millman
The Seven Storey Mountain, Thomas Merton

    Jane Eyre--Charlotte Bronte
Hamlet--Shakespeare (anything by shakespeare's wonderful, but this one just speaks to me...)
    Frankenstein--Mary Shelley
    Going Bovine--Libba Bray
The Picture of Dorian Gray--Oscar Wilde
    Artemis Fowl series--Eoin Colfer
    Outlander series--Diana Gabaldon
    Graceling and Fire--Kristin Cashore
    Don Quixote--Miguel de Cervantes
    Lord of the Flies--William Golding
    Heart of Darkness--Joseph Conrad
    Wicked--Gergory Maguire
The Alchemist--Paulo Coelho (in his defense, the books are translated into english; the spanish version is doubtlessly more poetic)
    The Host--Stephenie Meyer
    Anthem--Ayn Rand
    Harry Potter--J.K. Rowling
    Lord of the Rings--J.R.R. Tolkein
The Wheel of Time series--Robert Jordan

I could go on further if I thought longer...
