"There's some special reason for me to be here ,And I feel really homesick all the time.
And so do the other aliens. And I only have a chance to come across like a handful of other aliens, throughout the rest of my life.
Eventually one day we'll find out what we're suppose to do." - kurt cobain.

no matter what conclusions we draw from this thread, it still won't change the feeling of alienation.
who cares if we're not as unique or different as we may think it still doesn't change the feeling of alienation

That's true...you can't rationalize it. But you have you push yourself against it to get away from it...it's not supposed to be easy, but it is possible. Everyone is different and there is no uniform definition of 'normal'. I have a basic theory that everyone perceives some part of them as something that they have to hide from others for one reason or another. Like it's something that sets them apart...but everyone is different in how they deal with that...so I'm not saying that everyone feels broken or alienated, because not everyone feels that so intensely...but it might help you feel more unified with everyone else if you imagine them having a similar struggle.

It's not easy going through the world feeling like you just don't fit in, but you have to push yourself a little everyday to not hide yourself. That would not be easy either, but it'll probably make you happier in the long run.

I don't know if I'm being clear with my wording, I'm not really feeling good today...but I'm trying XD

I've felt alien in the INFP forums before.

I guess I'm just not flower power enough.

I feel that each person is different and unique and this doesn't just apply to one type. While I can say that I tend to identify with a lot of what is expressed here, I still feel as though I'm different

Well, more and more I feel I am INFP, but as others have said, maybe I'm not the most touchy feely of the type. I want to understand people in an objective way and this can come across as harsh. I can be very critical of people and it's something I've learned to keep to myself. I remember an old INFP friend from high school used to laugh at my comments, but then tell me I was so mean. That really stung. I've noticed I can be more myself around INTJs and they really like me.
