In the film "Mary and Max" if anyone here's seen that, I'm suspecting the character of Mary, because she's a shy kid that lives inside her head a lot; even when she's a grown up, she's so sensitive. She gives up a lot for a cause not really thinking into how it might offend her friend, and when it does, she has an emotional breakdown. (not that we're particularly prone to emotional breakdowns, or anything. I'm just honing in more on the sensitivity thing)

I know I'm in the minority but I really REALLY hate everything about it. It hurts to admit that... you're probably right. But that doesn't make me identify with him.

Now Anne Shirley I loved reading about. And Matilda was my favorite book growing up.

Here's my list, almost all from Disney (I'm going through a weird animated-Disney phase right now so I can type just about anyone) or Roald Dahl books because I bloody love Roald Dahl (maybe he's an INFP too, who knows):

-Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the one from the newer movie didn't have enough character development but the one from the 70s movie might) OR...

-Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (again, not the Burton version but all other versions)

    -Miss Honey from Matilda

    -Sophie from The BFG

    -Cinderella (Disney version)

-Alice (Disney's Alice in Wonderland- 1951 version)

-Christopher Robin (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh)

-Winnie the Pooh (Disney version of the character)

    -Penny (The Rescuers)

    -Bernard (The Rescuers)

-Jenny (Oliver and Company- that might be a stretch but she was based on Penny from The Rescuers)

-Fagin (Oliver and Company- again, a stretch but I just watched the movie today and saw that in him)

-Belle (Beauty and the Beast- my favorite princess, yay!!)

-Quasimodo (Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

    -Rory Williams (Doctor Who)

-Hiccup (How to Train Your Dragon- the movie version)

    -Violet Parr (The Incredibles)

    -Susan Delfino (Desperate Housewives)

-Ted Mosby (How I Met Your Mother- my friend and I were debating the other day as to whether he was INFP or INFJ but I'll just post him here anyway)

-Nikola Tesla (Sanctuary- I'm pretty sure the real guy was something else but Sanctuary's Tesla reminds me of my INFP friend)

    -Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap)

-Charlie Brown (I'm not sure about this one but it seemed right in theory)

This list might be off, I'm basing it on what I know of the MBTI types and also which characters I identified with the best.

i agree katemarie: came here to write charlie brown, at least from the few episodes i've seen.
ann of green gables, so obvious.

the little mermaid, and not just disney version but the hans christian anderson version:
“'for you have the best heart, and you are the most devoted to me'"
"She knew the prince’s thoughts better than any of the others."
"The little mermaid kissed his hand, and felt as if her heart were already broken. His wedding morning would bring death to her, and she would change into the foam of the sea"
"She had never danced so elegantly before. Her tender feet felt as if cut with sharp knives, but she cared not for it; a sharper pang had pierced through her heart. She knew this was the last evening she should ever see the prince, for whom she had forsaken her kindred and her home; she had given up her beautiful voice, and suffered unheard-of pain daily for him, while he knew nothing of it. This was the last evening that she would breathe the same air with him, or gaze on the starry sky and the deep sea; an eternal night, without a thought or a dream, awaited her: she had no soul and now she could never win one. All was joy and gayety on board ship till long after midnight; she laughed and danced with the rest, while the thoughts of death were in her heart."
her sisters tell her her life can be saved if she kills the prince but when she tries to she can't do it and kills herself instead:
"The little mermaid drew back the crimson curtain of the tent, and beheld the fair bride with her head resting on the prince’s breast. She bent down and kissed his fair brow, then looked at the sky on which the rosy dawn grew brighter and brighter; then she glanced at the sharp knife, and again fixed her eyes on the prince, who whispered the name of his bride in his dreams. She was in his thoughts, and the knife trembled in the hand of the little mermaid: then she flung it far away from her into the waves; the water turned red where it fell, and the drops that spurted up looked like blood. She cast one more lingering, half-fainting glance at the prince, and then threw herself from the ship into the sea, and thought her body was dissolving into foam. "
"You, poor little mermaid, have tried with your whole heart to do as we are doing; you have suffered and endured and raised yourself to the spirit-world by your good deeds; and now, by striving for three hundred years in the same way, you may obtain an immortal soul.”

Yuske Yushino is probably an enfp but im not sure, but i think he's awesome :)
I love both Fruits Basket and Clannad (currently working on finishing the After Story). :)

I definitely agree with Tohru, but I think Nagisa is more of an ISFP.
Oh, and I think Tomoya is IxTP.
Yukine might be an INFP.... thoughts?
(Yuske might be, but I haven't seen enough of him yet to try and guess... though, I think he's probably an introvert)

oh yeah Yukine is definitely an infp! :) hmmm i really need to read up on the different types, and i am not exactly sure of what the difference between Intuitive types and sensor types, so i will take your word for it on what type Nagisa is. even if she isn't an infp though i am almost certain that if she was real we would get along quite well :)

yeah i see how Yuske could be an introvert, so maybe he is an infp after all? i dont know.

its good to meet another person here who likes two of my most favorite animes ever :) i love Fruits Basket and i love Clannad :) hope you enjoy the rest of Clannad, and when your done if you want to, feel free to messege me if you want to chat about the series.

Well now that I've seen a couple more episodes with Yuske, I think he may be an INTJ or an INFJ.
I'm starting to get really into the Clannad music as well... I've learned the Dango song on the piano and now I'm working on Nagisa's Warm piano song. Such a beautiful series!! T_T
But anyways, I'll stop spamming this board now....

Do toys from toy story count?
I'm thinking the aliens, slinky (dog), rex and others.
Though they are probably more extroverts
