my massive fears are as follows:
    cicadas
spiders larger than palm of hand
    running over people
agreed! i never had this fear until watching a documentary in my psychology class about phobias, one of which being a woman who was terrified of running people over and who checked under her wheels every time she parked her car. i've since taken on a milder version of that and now, every time i hit an abnormally large pothole i paranoidly check the rear-view mirror. it's kind of hilarious.

That one in Dr Robotnik's lab on about level 3 of Sonic 2 I think, always would ruin my day. I am pretty bad at doing anything under pressure like that, it makes me feel profoundly unpleasant.

And agreed about the open ocean thing, it is scary to not have a reference point of some kind.

-social phobia (aka social anxiety) -claustrophobia (I avoid small spaces so I won't have to find out whether this is true or not) -I definitely have a fear of heights, only if there are no railings though; then I'll stay far away from the edge. As long as I have something to hold onto I'm fine (and it better be sturdy)

What made the turtles so special? :p

I'm very scared of places that are vast ie. oceans, deserts, something.
I'm also very scared of places that are too small because I think I am claustrophobic haha
I'm very scared of accidentally poking my eye with pointy things.
I'm also very scared of magpies but that's only because I almost go attacked by a bunch of them.

I'm still scared of the dark. Even more so of mirrors in the dark. Those are probably the only irrational fears that I have but they aren't so extreme that they affect my daily life.

Sleep (somniphobia). Sometimes I get up and walk around.

I, too, have a fear of the dark. I have many fears (dying, infinity, being miserable and alone forever... ) but nothing puts the fear of god in me like being in the dark. I freak out and cling to whoever is closest, it's rather embarrassing. I'm 24 and I have to sleep with a nightlight . Also being alone in an environment I'm not too familiar with creeps me out.

Also, when I was younger I hid behind the couch whenever the canine version of Satan made an appearance during my daily viewing of All Dogs Go to Heaven. Eeeep!

I was deathly afraid of woopie golberg as a kid. Every time she would come onto sesame street i would run and cry to my mom.
chanel and PinkCynix thanked this post.
