I don't know if any other INFPs do this - when you're reading something but your eyes get impatient and jump to another part of a page and read it on accident. You jump back up to what you were reading before.
    Example:
    "I'm going to France."

    below it is

    "I'm eating something right now."

You read "I'm going to eat France right now."

So, like many others, I caved into creating a profile solely because of the allure of this thread.

I have not read all 470 pages, so I do apologise if I add something that's already been said :s

You know you're an INFP when....

Your friend asks, "Sorry, what did you say?" and, totally thrown off by having your train of thought interrupted, you reply, "Huh? I wasn't talking, was I?" -- Cue blank look from friend and affirmation that you were in fact talking.

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but I will also be singing, often at quite a volume, with no idea that I'm doing it. Makes for some embarrassing moments when it is brought to your attention in the presence of the general population i.e anyone who is not my best friend.

Serves me right, I guess, for dating somebody who was so obviously not right for me - we were not just different types, we were from completely different planets (she never did a test but by my reckoning she was ESTJ - opposites might attract, but then they are thrown apart by forces beyond compare).
I wouldn't attribute that to personality type. I hate people who sing horribly and ruin the music, especially in a car, when I just want to coast along day dreaming and listening to beautiful music.

The best way to describe your movements is 'haphazardly graceful'. Or maybe just haphazard :P.

True, good point. But would you forbid a person from singing in your car? Personally, I find the idea of making such rules to limit somebody's right to express themselves to be extremely alien to me. And sometimes I also just want to coast along and listen to the music too. In which case, I drive alone. Still, I agree - more an individual personality clash than a type thing. Thankyou.

When most people who know you in real life would type you as anything other than an INFP because you're really good at putting up a tough veneer and hiding your emotions. You don't think that anyone else can understand how you're feeling and frankly you're better at working your issues out in your own mind.

You love to learn but you underachieve in school because you daydream too often, miss too many days, and you don't know where half of your notes are.

Having a job that you love or a job that makes a difference to the world is more important than making tons of money.

You go walk in the woods to enjoy a perfect alone, solitary moment in nature, preferably on bit of a rainy day so you're perfectly alone (and to fit and enjoy your melancholy mood better), and then you came across someone that you don't know and ever met who's just doing the same and you start being a bit pissed off for it broke the perfect aloneness you were having so far...

If I met someone crazy enough to walk in the woods in a rainy day, I'd definitely talk with them. <3
