    INFPs and yoga

Evening to all, I'm the only INFP here to doing yoga? It relaxes and helps me to find interior peace and happiness, also it makes me more comfortable with my body and less detached from reality (brain still working! ). Anyone's experiences?

Yeah, I really like yoga. I used to really benefit from meditation but I used to really fidget and find it hard to relax into...whereas yoga takes me to that mental-churn free zone without any effort...plus helps me stay supple so can't complain :)

I'm really interested in Yoga, I started with some hatha yoga in 2001, reading a book on it and practicing. After that, I read a book on kundalini yoga. Later I found aypsite.org, a website with advanced yoga information and a forum. I find it very rewarding.

In my life, I've gone through some really tough stressful situations and have had trouble dealing with it. So doing the Yoga was partly to deal with that. But more importantly, it started with spontaneous yoga-like experiences related to my religious practices, prayer, reading, etc. So yoga has been a major part of my life for years.

I learned to ignite my adrenaline first, but I didn't really know how to relax myself, which became a problem. (headaches, tense muscles). later, I learned deep relaxation (corpse pose) and that has helped immensely. I also have done some dream work (deep/conscious dreaming and keeping a dream journal), which helped me, and which I enjoyed a lot. This could be similar to Dream Yoga, but I haven't learned about that really yet.

I was trying yoga out on the Wii Fit and I discovered that I enjoy yoga very much.
It's a good workout, increases flexibility, promotes inner calm, and I feel like I get the opportunity to merge with ancient symbols that tell a story..

like there was a sun pose or something like that, and for a moment I felt like the sun.. immersive is a good way to describe it..

I love yoga! I just started, but my best friend and I do it two to three times a week. (We always listen to calmingusic as we do it.) I love how calming it feels, along with how healthy and happy and peaceful I feel afterwards. It helps me reduce stress, and even sleep better at times (I'm a severe insomniac).
I'm Buddhist, so I also meditate three or so times a week as well. This also relaxes me, again helping with stress, leaving me feel more creative and energized and refreshed.

Have you tried the corpse pose? it's also called deep relaxation. I used to do it before sleep each day for years, and it really helped me get to sleep.

I enjoy yoga and meditation. I don't think I have a conscious reason to do it, although obviously I could make up some. Mostly it is rather a "search" without looking for anything in particular. Being exploratory about one's subconsciousness can really easily turn into a hobby.

I hear it makes you fart so I shy away. It looks like something I could get into though, minus the farting.

Thanks to all for the answers! :)
Actually I enjoy doing meditation, i prefer it to yoga...but i think that the two things have much in common. There isn't a better way, just what you prefer. Meditation help me to make me feel my body and lie in the present, it also calm me down and get away the stress of the day
