Default intense dreamers

I have something that I do since I was a kid and am not sure what it is... I don't do it quite as much as when I was younger, but I still do it.. I can imagine myself in a story in considerable depth and literally act out that story in a dreamlike/hallucinatory state.. When I was a child, I would imagine that I was Jesus.. Or Joe Montana... Swiss family robinson.. The president... Or, even the equalizer from the USA show back in the 80's... Sounds crazy, but I could do it hours at a time when I would do it, and I always had something in my hand like a hair brush to bounce or hit, to give me some sort of psychological intensity or rhythm or something... Anyway, just curious if my other infp counterparts here share the same experiences. And oh yeah, my parents thought I had lost my mind when they would catch me doing it..

Totally used to do that with power rangers...I came up with like 42 new episodes between ages 5 and 8...still do it today. I write, and I always play out the stories in my head before I actually write them...makes forgreat character development.

ha i used to do that a lot when i was little, being the superhero or like a main character and have like a whole movie played in my head. its like a whole different world and it was very entertaining. but that was when i was a kid lol, now i dont have the time to do that and the whole 'fictional character' phase is well over haha. tho i do daydream sometimes about my own life.

Do you ever have "Waking dreams" where your mind is awake but your baody falls into sleep...you get paralysis, and your head kind of rushes and fills with what sounds like white noise...then you can even dream and see images superimposed on top of the wall of the bed you see in front to of you. I don't like it much, its not very comfortable, and it can be a little scary because your breathing slips out of your control and goes on autopilot...but if you relax you find you get all the air you need. Ever happen to you?

I do that all the time, especially after watching every episode with the plot memorized, I would create new characters to fit into the plot and also new scenes etc.

Funnily enough I can only do this when I am either walking or listening to music. Especially when listening to music- my mam thought I was moshing last time she saw me X'D

Yeah I wander around my apaprtment for hours on end late at night so that I can think through plot lines and come up with new episodes of shows I watch...it used to drive my roommates crazy, cause I kinda have heavy feet lol and I've just discovered, the treadmill works well too, especially if theres a mirror. Seeing yourself moving can really enhance things, at least for me.

I do this while listening to music and walking in circles.
Usually for 20 minutes- 3 hours (Was a rainy day).
I stop when either my feet get tired, or my ears hurt.
My parents stopped caring that I do it and so did my siblings; they understand I'm weird.

how did you know?????? lol i do this everyday, especially during physics classes or the like (teacher's gotten used to the freaky faces i make by now). Also, when reading books or watching movies (esp. one's i've already seen) i'll make up subplots and eventually coming back to the reading when all the endings I think of are anticlimactic. I'm not a slow reader by nature, but I'll take hours on a few pages sometimes because of all my daydreams
