Biggest Differences between INFP's and ENFP's You Know

Since I am an old lady INFP and I have been tracking some of the posts between ENFP's and everyone else, I have to wonder...what is the biggest difference you guys ( and ladies ) have noticed between the I and the E in the NFP's?

Are their differences depending on the genders? How is this displayed, specifically (the differences)? I have my own thoughts on this, but I would like to know yours as well.

In the words of LINDA RICHMAN "TAWLK AMONGST Y'SELVES..."

Well, you know what I mean.

    Thanks!

I'm not sure. Beside the E and the I part, I don't really see that much of a difference or at least no notice it. Like I said on another thread, ENFPs are like INFP's on a sugar rush while drunk. lol

On a more serious note. The difference between ENFPs and INFPs are the order of priority of their individual functions. The moment I'm presented with data and expect to react it'll be my Ne or Te side reacting.. When I'm alone later i could think about everything with my Fe side. It's easier for an ENFP to detach their feelings from a situation than for an INFP, making them better at handling confrontational situations, although it's not what an ENFP prefers... at heart both I/ENFP want to be in a clash free environment.

Here's a quote that i think describes why ENFPs are my HYPER than INFPs:

Let's look at the other primary I/ENFP face (SF). The SF pattern suggests a persona more consistent with the "traits" frequently ascribed to ENFPs - the warm, fun and people loving side of their personality who can very much live in and enjoy the moment. INFPs more typically keep the SF face hidden, yet it provides the energy for their participation in helping professions, all kinds of nurturing activities, and their interest in performing arts and arts and crafts work in general.
INFPs have the virtue of patience, better observation, a little bit more consistent in their behavior...

thats all that comes to mind now.

Starry, the only other result I have ever gotten from an MB profile is INFJ...so at my heart of hearts I really am an introvert. I will fight someone over my alone time...it's what keeps me sane. And I detest crowds...to the point that if they're rellay large I almost have a panic attack. I am alone a great deal. I don't mind it and if I'm with people too much it just becomes exhausting to me. Never been much of a party type...social butterfly.

    BUT...

If you know me well, I am loud and I laugh huge belly laughs...I am not the least bit reserved with you and I don't mince words. I dislike confrontation, but recognize its necessity and will initiate it when it's called for by the situation. I believe you can't complain about something and do nothing about it. I am a person of action, in that respect.

I suppose what I'm trying to find out in this post is do I (personally) display more E traits than I traits and if so, why?

Good grief, that damned question...WHY? LOL! Thank you for your input, BTW. Your insight really is keen.

I'm going to speculate a bit at the risk of being totally wrong! I think that it is very possible for INFP's to appear extroverted in environments they are comfortable in. If I am amongst friends I can get get quite loud and hyper if I am excited about something, but I am quiet among new people. I think ENFPs are more expressive about their emotions, INFPs often keep a lot to themselves, and unfortunately can let a lot build up until it explodes. I actually think that ENFPs are better at reading other peoples emotions moment to moment, but that INFPs may be better at reading the core of a person, who they really are and their underlying motivations.

My sis is an INFP and the biggest difference between the two of is, that she actually listens when somebody tells her something. In no time I will be talking, coming up with all kind of solutions etc. in the same situation. Another big difference between the two of us is that I'm much more at ease when I have to deal with people I don't know... I just don't bother that much. But I see what you mean, INFPeter. When my sis is at ease with people, she can become really extroverted too. I can also relate to the keeping your emotions to yourself. When I was a kid and something bothered me, I always went to my mum and said: 'Listen up, I'm bothered by this and that'. My sister never did this, we really had to drag the stories out of her after school, she never told us anything...

One of my employees ( who happens to be a Psych major, not that it matters...) told me today she doubts I am "I" or "FP", but she refused to speculate as to what I am.

However, I know for a fact that in work situations, I am very much ENTJ. I am not a demanding boss, and I'm pretty nice to her, but when we get busy look out...I'm definitely the only Captain on board. I can do the job singlehandedly. Literally. Do that on a daily basis, now that I think about it....
