INFP Do you have breathing troubles?

I usually feel like there's a heavy load on my chest that makes me have to forcefully breathe. Its kinda annoying, especially that it occurs during sleep, when I am lying in bed, that is. I also have problems with extrasystole (skipped beat), and its really bothering me because I'm only 16.

My parents are doctors and they tell me I'm fine, but I think that they're taking it for granted.

Does anyone suffer from similar problems? And is this related to me being an INFP, or is it some other thing, like caffeine or stress?

I was born with crappy lungs. As a kid, I had many issues breathing. When I was about seven, I got pneumonia. It was awful...

My lungs are much better now. Exercise has made breathing very easy as well. I don't often experience troubled breathing these days. From time to time, it happens but rarely in bed. When it does happen, it's usually because I've drunk too much caffeine! Haha, whoops. I'm trying to stop my intake of caffeine because it makes my heart beat irregular...

I also have this problem, but I'm not sure of its source. Maybe its also caffeine? Stress?
Anyways, since I can't stop stress I'm also trying to cut my caffeine intake, and see what happens...

Yes, sometimes I realize I'm holding my breath and have to remind myself to breath.
Dr. said I have same heart skipping problem but said not to worry though sometimes I get sharp pains in my chest and always have.
    But...I'm still around so...

Caffeine does not mix well with stress. It makes it worse. And yet, I sometimes have it when I'm stressed. Bah. I have to get over this addiction. Not only does it make me feel weird, it makes my heart feel weird... poo.

What is your heart rate (on average) if you don't mind me asking? Mine fluxes between 60-68. It never used to do that until I included caffeine in my diet.

Well I've never really measured but I can give you an approximation...About 70 when I'm calm and about 90-95 when I'm excited, but I never reach a 60 except before I drowse off to sleep.

And no, I don't mind these questions.

Ah good. I don't want to pry. :)

That's interesting! I've never thought about testing my heart rate when excited. I might have to. The lowest my heart rate has been was 58 but that was when I was exercised hardcore. I also didn't drink any caffeine at the time. I still exercise but not as hard.

I really need to stop drinking caffeine. I've read read it induces irregular heartbeats. I really don't like the feeling of it. To describe it, it's like having someone jab my heart. Quite painful. Have you always had irregular heartbeats?

Haha, I just measured my heartbeat and it's 56. =/ Weird.

Yes, I've had irregular heartbeats, which started around a year ago or such, although they aren't successive, but only one ot two irregular heartbeats per day. I, too, hate how they feel, like someone is clenching your heart.

By the way, maybe our heartbeat difference may be due to difference in gender and/or age; I read it somewhere.

I get that feeling after too much coffee. It comes with a feeling of anxiousness and anticipation.

Ah man. That is such a shit. I am sorry. :(

Ah yes. It's got do with a lot of things, not only gender and age.
