hmm, song quote would cover my thoughts on this

"In a moment you will see my other side
    When I’m confronted
My demeanor turns from Jekyll into Hyde"
    quote from sacrifice by Disturbed

from my personal point of view i'm generally easy going, i hate confrontation, i hate manipulation, i hate conflict of any kind and i always try to avoid it, but theres a tipping point, if im pushed far enough for long enough something trips then its more of an all bets are off situation, instead of avoiding conflict i'll come out fighting, not because i want to hurt anyone but because i want it to end, i want things to stop and if im pushed far enough im not that choosy about my tactics, i stop careing about the path and just go for the result.

What INFP components make them such great manipulators?

I've found from personal experience that manipulation of others comes at some cost. I suppose weighing these costs and benefits before can be very useful. But with manipulation, it must come with some degree of sacrifice. Because in some fashion you're manipulating your own patterns to disassociate others'.

i should probably add for.the sake of clarity that the tipping point i mentioned (for me at least) take a lot toreach its happened for me twice and it took 4years to get to that point and only at tbat point have i ever even though about manipulating others

If people lean in the direction I feel good about, I can be the wind in their sails and things can get done. But if I try to use my powers for the dark side - furthering my own agenda through subtle manipulation - it usually fails. I know I can summon some of my INFP qualities and be manipulative, so I try to be aware of my heart's intent whenever I feel myself reaching inside for that little extra to sway things to my POV.

In games I am (other places as well I guess, I do a whole INCEPTION like thing)

I was playing "Last Night on Earth" with a ENFP, ESTJ and a person I don't know well enough to type.
The ESTJ was the Zombies. We were playing a scenario where we were defending a house. We'd lose when X zombies had gotten inside, we'd win if we could defend the manor 15 turns.

We had actually done well as a team for about 11-13 rounds, but then the ESTJ got the upper hand. We were about to lose. My teammates had given up, the ESTJ was just being himself (no gloating). Then I realized that we could lure the Zombies out of the manor due to a rule that says "Zombies have to attack when standing next to player".

I pointed at the unknown type and said, just keep doing that. This kind of puppetry has it's ups and downs. You make it seem like the other players are the ones who are actually doing these actions, which it is, but also leave them with a feeling of selfworth. The ESTJ didn't notice this, because he usually has his hand up people's as moving them making sure we know that he is the right one.
The bad thing is that I feel bad using people like this, meanwhile I also feel kind of sucky, because it's the other players being praised and my "art" goes unnoticed.

The ESTJ usually never loses, but somehow I am able to beat him. Both in this case, but also 1vs1. I can tell that he doesn't know exactly how to feel about this.

I always test as an INTP or INTJ on those tests. Blah! I know I'm neither, though, sadly enough.

Hm, that is some food for thought. I guess I could be if I wished. It's honestly not that hard. I don't have many enemies and since I am nice to people usually, they are nice to me. And I have this whole shy, innocent kid kind of thing (mostly due to my social anxiety and wanting to hide myself). People tend to be much nicer to the shy kid. I guess, since no one thinks I'm really capable of doing anything bad, I could manipulate them. I don't really want to though. Have I ever done that without realizing it? I need to think about this. . .
