The trend is that INFPs generally test 4 or 9, but that's just a trend.
Yeah, INFPs are definitely inclined towards those Etypes. And I totally see how cognitive processes and basic motives/behaviours differ from another. However, that was not my point either. A rather clumsy formulation on my part, sorry. What I meant is that INFPs who also are 6s will have good use of Fi, due to the fact that it makes them quite adept at reading people, something which perhaps will relieve the typical 6-anxiety a bit. Can also make it worse in certain situations though. Personally I know an ISFJ who is also a 6, and I can tell you that he can't read people at all, and that makes him much more often end up in unwanted situations than I.

I did NOT mean that INFPs who are 4s or 9s aren't using their Fi as much as 6s. Because they obviously are, in the sense that Fi encompasses authenticity (4) as well as harmony (9).

    Hope that made sense.

I used to test as a 4 (not so sure on the wing on that one) and now I test as a 2w4 sp/so/sx.
Though I still like how a type four sounds like... I think a type 2 fits me more, and I feel more comfortable knowing that.

Make way for the nines people! Make way for the nines!

Whoever clicked four that many times is lying...

I bet most INFPs fall under four and nine, they are the two I often get. Nine is more like me though, I don't have all the moodiness of a four.

    Same here.

I tested first as equally 4 and 7 but when I did it again I was a 4w5. I have the 5 analytical ways although I'm more of a feeler. The whole thing fits me very well i'm sx/sp which can "apparently" give me enthusiastic impulses that confuse me for a 7,
I'm the stereotypical infp in every way YAY

I don't know whether this whole personality I have right now is a teenager thing or what...
But I do relate to every decription thrown at me... having an ESFJ as a best friend helps me a lot. She can deal with my difficultness I'm terrible with relationships though, i'm sure I could be with the guy I really like right now but every time I just end up feeling like it'll never last or simply being to lazy for the relationship I just see no point in it. I'm too lazy with my friends (who are all extroverts except for me) and really just want them to notice my passion and interesting-ness but can never get through to them... I wish I knew an infp

I got 6 wing 5. I've taken it a few times. In the past I would've been 4 wing 9 or 2. Yet, that was in my youth when my parents and thier religion greatly influenced my thinking and decisions. I have sense found so many fallacies in those beliefs and my lack of reasoning that I have reconstructed much of my reasoning so I dont, "fall for it" again.
I of course still find great merit in those functions though it is not what leads my life nor thinking.

I find people can be easily exploited by thier good intentions. I am a lot less likely to say, "Oh I have a good feeling about them", or a cause, or stance. It is good to love, but millions of people at one point in time loved Hitler and "had a good feeling about him". Including our country and most infamously Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain who even shook his hand. Signed the Munich agreement giving two countries to Germany and signing an appeasment which wanted to peacefully settle agreements without arms.

Hitler exploited many people's natural goodwill and wants for peace while his real intentions were in secret, dominering, and gross. There are people and organizations that understand human behavior for what it is, and manipulate the system to get what they want. "All I have to do is say good things, act like Im good and do bad things" and most people wont see it for what it is.

So, yes I can be emotional. I used to trust people and ideas on the basis of a "good feeling", but I found those to be a great weakness and made me susciptlible to being manipulated. Now, I realize the agressors and dominaneers for what they are and I no longer meet them with trust, nor my good opinion, on the basis of feelings. I think the greatest lesson I have learned in my life is that people are deceptive.

At my core I am soooo much an investigator.(5) So curious about things/the world. Knowledge is more important to me than love. But... I abhor conflict.(9) But... I LOVE to withdraw(l),,, love love love ISOLATION.(5) So I really don't know. I will not vote at this time as to not screw up the stats or vote as something I might not really be. But if I figure it out, I will come back and vote.
I just voted 9. I'm going to stick w/9. There was a post about 9's somewheres & I read it a couple days ago and thought that is it, the deal is sealed. I think if it was possible to be a 9w5 w/a tiny, tiny, sprinkle of 4 (like a salt shaker) -- that would be me. Hmmm... I like that. I think I will make that my new signature.

I'm a 4w3 self pres.. I think my enneagram feels more like "me" than being an INFP.. I guess because its more negative and shows off all the bad parts of my personality.
