I could see an INFP becoming a mission oriented serial killer.

This is a discussion on Criminal INFPs within the INFP Forum - The Idealists forums, part of the NF's Temperament Forum- The Dreamers category; I could see an INFP becoming a mission oriented serial killer....

I could see an INFP becoming a mission oriented serial killer.

No, those were mass murderers, not serial killers (though I could see an INFP doing that as well, come to think of it). Mission oriented serial killers are people who target groups of people they deem as being immoral, collectively responsible for some perceived wrong, or otherwise unworthy of living. Light Yagami from Death Note is an example (though a more grandiose example than usual).
U think so? I'm not sure INFPs can judge people and kill them for etnicity and such, that's a typical INFJ thing, right?
Of course these things might not have to do with personality type... but I think different personality types handle situations different from eachother
They'd be like Robin Hood

It doesn't have to be a racial thing; it could just be a group of people you think are doing something immoral. For example, a lot of mission oriented killers target hookers because they think prostitution is wrong and they're purging society of people who are polluting it with sin. Replace "hooker" and "prostitution" with any person or field you think is bad, and there you go. An INFP is definitely capable of that kind of black-and-white moral judgement.
Yeah, I'd say becoming a serial killer isn't really MBTI related, though your type would probably influence the type of killer you became. For example, anyone who loses contact with reality can become a visionary serial killer, regardless of type, but I think INFPs usually have too much empathy for any of you to become hedonistic killers (people who kill for the pleasure of killing, sexual or otherwise), or the power/control variety.Of course these things might not have to do with personality type... but I think different personality types handle situations different from eachother
@Dark Romantic- Light Yagami is exactly what I think of when thinking of an INFP becoming deranged. It's not a black and whit evil. In their minds they're cleaning society from what they see as corrupt. So in a sense a very "moralistic" killer. At the other end of the spectrum, as @potato said even if it was a joke, they would be a rogue who broke laws to try to help people. Maybe perhaps a Batman styled person who deals vigilante justice, which in most cases is illegal in itself.
Interesting discussion, It might depend on how far the person went over to "the dark side"?
The robin hood self image would be ignorance in most cases, but someone who has gunned down his best friends because they "snitched" probably dont feel like a hero, even if they did the "right" thing for themselves or their gang... Already there u damaged your own mind and morals into something dark... After killing someone, a part of you die inside, get the whole "I have nothing to loose, I'm going to hell anyway.."-attitude
Which is partly why I believe that hardened and unrepentant criminals, don't truly have a personality. They are just some sort of shell of their former selves, if they had one to begin with, because many hardened criminals have a prior history of abuse. So while they were abused I think that maybe they just deadened themselves to it. When they did this they can freely act on their terrible deeds with no remorse. These are the worst of the worst I'm referring to. Not some personality type that's had a terrible, yet short lived lapse in judgement.
Just as a side note I have not studied criminal psychology deeply so I could be dead wrong with my theory. It just seems like a plausible idea.

Part of some murderous cult, like the dark brotherhood in the Elder Scrolls video game series. Fi- moral and emotional devotion to cult Ne- creativity and ability to come up with good and silent ways to kills someone. They wouldn't know what killed them.
