Social Suicide - List of things that rub others the wrong way~

While none of these should make your jaw drop for making the list, let's take a moment to see where the general INFP consensus is when it comes to some of these traits.

Personally, I know I'm guilty of a few too many, but how about you? Are you relying on being highly critical of yourself to determine these things or have others boldly told you that you behave in a certain way? Do you mean to or is it something else that's simply being interpreted the wrong way?

Poll Source: From a self-help book I skimmed through the other day. Let me know if you want me to hunt down the title.

I may also be combative, direct, brutal and flat out say no to people, then trench up and refuse to budge, snap back at them for attempting to have me do anything I'd rather not. Unafraid of arguing and confrontations...

._. other then this in general I'm kind of pleasant and nice to be around. Most if not all people like me. (I smile a lot and my conscience drives me to be nice to people, unless they trigger me in some way...in which case I become a big rough problem).

EDIT: I forgot to say that I do lie when being truthful could get me into a heap of trouble or into an uncomfortable situation I'd rather not be in.

Haha, I'm actually hoping to do the opposite. Guilt-free is the way to be, but acknowledging something, seeing others that you identify/respect admit to it (INFP's) and hopefully it doesn't feel quite as bad anymore.

Next Poll is going to be the "Sin Bin," but I doubt it'll top how interesting the ...

I think the main thing which aggravates my friends (or it would seem; it could just be an excuse to vent at me. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case tbqh) is my extreme shyness and introversion. Maybe it's extroverts who don't have a good grasp on introversion but I think I can become aloof and generally a dislikable person because I can be cold and rude. They generally pick up on that, comment and mock this, it aggravates the shit out of me tbh, nvm. IDK if this counts, or if it's even a problem, but I thought I'd post regardless.

I've been called sneaky, cheeky, a know-it-all (even though I'm really not -_-) and I have a remarkable talent for saying inappropiate comments at least once a day, which embarrases either me or angers many others. I'll edit in anything else I can think of.

Are these actions that we did on forums or in life? I haven't done much on these forums but in real life...

I think we're quite different people, but I have a surprisingly level of trust in you that supersedes quite a few others on here that I may connect with a bit more in other aspects. Always appreciate your thoughts and honesty, even if it acknowledges that you're not always the best kind person by your own standards.

Excuse or not, thanks for sharing.
That certainly does come across as frustrating and when people tend to nit pick some of those traits, it can ultimately lead or encourage that "extreme" side of yourself a bit further. With that said, I wonder what opinion those extroverts or even your friends, would have of you if you shared yourself in a similar fashion to how you do on the forums. I don't read many posts on here, but I do read yours -- I appreciate the way you express yourself and never noticed that cold, rude, sneaky, cheeky, or know it all style of speech :D. Unless you're hiding it!

I'd focus primarily on real life, but who knows if the way we present ourselves on here isn't really as black and white compared to how we are naturally meant to behave in real life.

I won't lie. I've done most of those things in real life. It's that I try to learn from them. That's why I try not to do anything wrong on the forums. There just isn't a reason to be an asshole around all these great people. So as far as real life goes, yeah, I've done almost all of these things at least once and I'm sure I may do at least one of them again. I'm only human and I'm sure I'll regret it and even probably vent or confess it on these forums, but none of us are exempt from mistakes.

Let's see: mean spirited, humiliation, bragging, know it all, swearing, judging others, manipulation, arguing......that seems to mostly sum it up. Forgot to tick the box for five or more, ack!

In general it could probably be traced to either being arrogant or using some less than pleasing means towards getting what I want. Sources include my own experience, what situations I've been dragged into, what people tell me, etc. I'm not proud of all this, but they're bad habits I need to keep in check every once in awhile. Sometimes I've gotten away with whatever I was doing, or had my butt handed to me on a silver platter.

For 7 years I had a boss who could click 15 of those yet could not see himself as he was. Even today the stories of that guy are nationwide within the company.
