    Why am I so lazy?

I really am. I don't have much motivation for things. If it were up to me, I'd spend my days by a lake in a cabin or something.

But, I would really like to feel productive and a cabin in the woods involves needing money. XD

There are things I know I have to do and I don't do them until I feel like it. Or when I do them, I feel like they're not good enough or spend too much time on them. I can be happy with what I accomplish, it just takes long to go about doing them.

I partly blame my parents. We have to change stuff in the house and they're taking forever. I've been tempted to just do them myself.

Anyways. I need ambition. I need drive. Help me out?

Look for stuff that you are enthusiastic about. That way it won't feel like work at all. And use music if you have to do something boring.

Also, a cabin in the woods - hasn't horror movies taught you anything : o

lol ... a horror movie is even called ''cabin in the woods'' i think :'''')
I also have often the feeling that I am doing nothing with valuable time ... lay in bed way too long, procrastinate as much as possible (because that's my sport) ... and then work things out at the last possible minute, somehow that gives me a kick. Best example I have at this moment is that I am supposed to start my internship abroad on the 3rd of september ... when did I started looking for a room to rent in that city? Last friday ...
Luckily I have found something really good and it seems like I can work it out by the end of this week already =)

worst thing is ... I don't seem to get stressed anymore about anything ? dangerous

It's in your genes. Don't worry, it's in mine as well.Being Lazy Isn't Your Fault — It's Genetic!

It is quite dangerous actually, cos some things NEED work... and focus....
I also used to be a last minute person as well until I became a bit of a planner. I do gazillion bits of research and then pick the best one.

I haven't figured out how to motivate myself and truly enjoy something yet.
I also now have a lot of what I class as half finished projects, but other people class as finished. (Yeh, like half a job !)
I cannot recall when, but I realised at some point in my life that, other people actually are just "do-ers".... They are very very J.
I used to think I was stupid cos I learnt to do things in perfection, and I was so slow in doing it. Now I realised that other people just do the minimum that meets the requirement and that is it.

    > I know what I'm capable of, but I don't really feel like proving it to anyone. <

Staffan, :P Doesn't necessarily have to be a cabin in the woods. I just like being relaxed. I can be still or do nothing for too long. Music is nice. I work without it though, unless its creating something artistic.

nicoloco90 : " I don't seem to get stressed anymore about anything ? dangerous " Oh yeah, I can relate.

I will be going into a program I'm enthusiastic about, so I think school should go better this time around. And I do need a job, so I'll think of that. Must do things! I need a way to get myself moving. Some water in the face, a slap in the back, or I don't know. I feel like there is a lot of build up to do something, instead of just doing it. If there was some way of telling myself to just snap out of it. I don't know what I wait for.

Holgrave, cool article. Isn't that kind of an easy way out? :p Yeah, that's just how I am. No fighting it. We've gotta get things done! I love Calvin and Hobbes.

Bago, I've had that attitude. If you're going to do something, may as well make it great. But, then I feel overwhelmed. I have had half finished projects too and left things for the last minute.

Interesting stuff. I'm not the only one struggling. Thanks.

You can tell when I'm being really lazy when I can't even be bothered to play videogames! XD

I'm not saying it's a reason to be lazy. I'm just saying some people have it harder than others to get things done. :P

    Ah. True.
Reminds me of a movie called The Art of Getting By.
