I would give up everything in my life to be an astronaut. The first ocean city dweller, a world traveling vagabond, Time traveler, an engineer who makes space cities....and many many more fanciful improbable jobs.

The careers I would absolutely love would involve having the time to to do it without being paid enough to live my current life. It's disheartening really. I mean, if I were still living with my parents in a basement and didn't have current responsibilities, maybe.

Any job that allows me to express creativity for expended periods of time. To be able to actually replace 8 hours a day of what I do now in order to do that seems almost foreign, but magical.

    Writing fiction.
    Writing music.
Idea giver for video games (I'll let someone else do the tech work)
    Hang Glider instructor
Small business owner, preferably in someplace beautiful, like on a beach in Hawaii
Rogue Vigilante by style of Ninjaism
Painter. Just paint whatever. All day.

    If I were more intelligent;
    Quantum Physics Engineer
    Astronaut
    Time Traveler
    Black Hole Explorer
    Life Finder
    Starwalking

    More realistic and attainable;
No idea. Well I have ideas. They just change every two weeks, or require like 10 years of school, or have overly competitive employment opportunities even after 10 years of school.

I would love to make music videos. Sometimes I "see" the music in my head & want to put it on video. Maybe when I retire & have the time & money I'll make it happen. Maybe put a few on Youtube & the rest on DVD. 2nd choice: Motorcycle factory test rider. Get paid to flog motorcycles to their limits. Beats driving a desk. 3rd: Form a band of open-minded, wacky musicians that like spontaneous, unpredictable fun music. Sort of B-52's meet Frank Zappa. And tour obscure places for the fun of it. Cowtown art houses & such.

Game Designer/Developer/Producer is my main dream in life.

But I also would like to be able to write, or play/create music, maybe even sing! XD

A lot of similar job areas here! Music without a doubt for me. Just to be immersed in that general area. I'd probably hop around all aspects of it according to my interest at that time. Performing, recording, producing... probably the only area I wouldn't enjoy too much is teaching. Unless the person I was teaching showed great passion and/or talent. Like I'm not sure I'd like to be a general music teacher in a primary school or high school, where it'd be a push to motivate students who really didn't want to be there - I really don't like forcing people to do things they don't show a natural curiosity/interest for. I think music is the one area I am very selfish with, because I am extremely passionate about it.

hmmm, that's a hard one for me,

because im torn apart between fulfilling a dream carreer (ideal, meaningfull job) and between using work to fulfill my other dreams in life

I dont want to put my whole focus into work, and to reach something I'd call a dream job for me, I'd definitely had to.
    jobs like: game designer/programmer,
web designer/programmer with my own ideas,
    writing storys/music

vs other programming jobs, which are more boring, but also better paid

also, I cant motivate myself to program something for myself, I need some external pressure, which makes it hard to get into the (anyway horribly stressfull, and bad paid) gaming industry

hmm but my dream would be something like: beeing able to live from hopping from part time job to part time job, or freelancing, in other countries

I'm going to make a list of the different dream jobs I've conjured up in the last few years.

Astronomer -I would, but the math is insane and the field very small and the schooling needed is usually a doctorate.
Don't get a job and live in the woods
Author/writer -maybe scifi stuff or movie/game reviews
Movie director/producer/screenwriter -I had this fantasy about directing the John Carter of Mars movie from the book but then the jerk from finding nemo got to it first. he did an Okay job, but I am left wanting something better.
Linguist/Translator -to know many different languages.
create video games -writing them probably
Be a hobo and travel around and do odd jobs. It's also good to see that I am not the only one who thinks like this.
Become a chef/really good cook. -I like food a lot.
Architect -because buildings can be beautiful and innovative.
    joining the military

That's all I can think of for now but I'm sure there's more.
