Were did that low self esteem thing come from?
In my mind, there is usually nothing related to what is going on around me.

Honestly from knowing so many INFPs...they all tell me they have low self esteem. But only if we've been talking for awhile and I get them to open up and be honest.

Also speaking of which there is a guy I know who is INFP and we've been friends for awhile...how do you charm you guys?
It's strange because sometimes we won't talk for awhile but I'm scared to talk to him because I already have tried and I don't wanna seem pushy...

Too much goes on in our heads to ever simplify down into a concise answer to the question. Hell, half the time the thought's already gone by the time I try to identify what it was about.

    See....LOVE IT :)))))

Come right out & be honest about how you feel. If he's any kind of INFP, he will be extremely receptive & understanding of it. It's what we crave, emotional authenticity. We've just been trained not to expect it from being disappointed or hurt so many times.

So...I shouldnt try to charm him up? Would he be weirded out? He seems like kind of a player...either that or he talks to lots of girls. I'm not sure if INFPs are really players though. And oddly enough, he seems so into his own head that nothing really bothers him.

Nah, we usually aren't ladies' men. Too shy.

But really, if he's an INFP, a genuine statement about how you feel would probably be the best way to go about it. Even if he knows, he might not be willing to speak up on it, so the best thing to do would just be to put it out there. A little charm wouldn't hurt, but the most charming thing is the truth. We are the hopeless romantics everybody seems to love to talk about, but can't find. If there was a type that could hear something like that & not be overwhelmed by it, it's us. (Not trying to talk us up, like "hurr de durr, we're da best!!!" It can really suck being a romantic in a sea of cynics)

Either way, you should only do what you're comfortable with, of course.

whats going on in your heads?
*lots and lots of hugs* ... we are great ^__^... and thank you ^__^

Well, I question everything ... and that includes myself and whether or not I am moral ... and whether or not I am doing the best thing ... and whether or not I can succeed (before I knew about MBTI, I wondered if I had the personality to not fail lol) ... ... ... .. I tend to see a lot of my flaws too and I put too much emphasis on them from time to time
... that is why I sometimes have low self esteem
    Umber thanked this post.
