I think the forum got a bit crowded. What I love about the INFJ-forum is that people actually read eachother's posts and thank them. It doesn't seem to happen that often here. So sometimes it felt like I was writing into a void or something. It got pretty depressing.

But it's hard to stay away. :P

Tis a goal of mine as an INFP - be more disciplined... read more, focus, FOCUS DAMNIT!

hm.. I think I relate far too much to the Ni function, and far to little too Fi to be and INFP.

    Perhaps another identity switch?

there is a never ending set of variables, and its stuck at being how one sees/or percieves, yourself. all that would fill volumes in itself.
the redeeming value as i see it, is to have some standardized yardstick to measure against::::
having some quantified spot along said measure stick, to get a picture of where you stand, and what can be worked on to be more "x" in life.. (fulfilment, function w/ society, workplace, whatever you value as being success)
and haveing some clues into how others operate, rather than just dumb luck and being sideswiped by every negative person in your life.
labels can be a fixation, excuse, crutch, or used as a club to beat down others and ourselves..
we have to start somewhere, and others will be at diff points in journey of life.
for myself only, been chasing this white rabbit for some 35 ish years, done more evaluations than can begin to keep track of.
briggs-myer type is rather quick and simple, always have scored well into 90% on each item. pretty fair guesstimate there.
now get busy living and striving to step out of our comfort zones.

It took me a year to fully decide that I'm an INFP after therapy and soul searching. Now, I have no doubt even if i test sometimes as an INFJ, ENFJ, or INTP (usually INFJ though, not so much the other two). It takes a great deal of understanding of the cognitive functions, how they work in that particular order and the behavioral patterns that manifest as a result of that. It did not come easily so don't worry too much if you're not sure or test as other types frequently.

My thoughts exactly. In Psych, we are constantly learning about how to better listen, acknowledge people, thank them for sharing, give engaging feedback, and ask leading questions for more. INFJs do this so naturally that its no wonder they're usually better counselors. For us INFPs, it requires us to be outside our own heads and focused on YOU, which can be exhaustin. Writing is more natural to us in a fluid, self-expressive way. What you're seeing is evidence of that preference. Unfortunately you're right, we dont reach out to each other nearly enough. We are lonely even amongst our own kind :-(

So, what am I? I give up on the constant guesswork, triple-guessing because I enjoy a rousing debate, what-have-you.

    @Killer Suit :
    Introverted Feeling (Fi) - 14.54
    Extroverted Feeling (Fe) - 12.115
    Extroverted Intuition (Ne) - 9.96
    Introverted Sensation (Si) - 7.54
    Extroverted Sensation (Se) - 7.03
    Introverted Intuition (Ni) - 6.2
    Extroverted Thinking (Te) -1.45
    Introverted Thinking (Ti) -1.42
Going by this, I'd say Fi/Ne/Si/Te. Fe/Si/Ne/Ti less likely. At least F-dom, T-inf. Thus Fi/Te (INFP or ISFP) or Fe/Ti (ENFJ or ESFJ). You should know by getting to understand the difference between Fe and Fi, Te and Ti.

Any particular reason you don't believe yourself to be an INFP?
