Have any of you ever been compared to a dog?

So a few months ago, when I was a little more comfortable being physically affectionate with my best friend he told me "you're like a dog" with a smile on his face.

I got to thinking about it and I guess he's right, I guess I do sort of have an unconditional "dog" love for him lol.

Have any of you INFP's ever been compared to a dog in this way?

It would be an honor if I was called a dog in that respect. One of my favorite variations of a quote is from Diogenes the cynic. He was likened and also likened himself to a dog. Lemme see how it goes... I'm Diogenes the dog. I bite the wicked, bark at the falsehoods and nuzzle the righteous. I'd want to be a dog in another life.

Nope, and I'm not sure how I'd take it either.

Been called gay in a non insulting manner though.

Yeah I was not quite sure how to take it at first. But I think he meant it in a good way, and him being INTP I knew he probably didn't "scan" what he said to see if anything could be taken offensive.

All the time! Maybe that is because I was born in the year of the dog. I definitely consider it a compliment, and I do believe it was said that way. Dogs are loyal, loving, territorial, stubborn (I sure can be), moralistic, playful, and a lover of justice. Plus they are very cute. My boyfriend calls me doggie in my language sometimes as a nickname, it sounds sweet.

Yep! :D Dachshund animagus, for all you Harry Potter fans out there. A type of dog that's lovable, but stubborn and keeps to small groups of its familiar people. Perfect for me.

My mom says I'm like a puppy because I'm so klutzy and all over the place

No on has compared me to a dog but I personally feel I have the personality of a puppy sometimes.
