@krentz have you ever tried not laughing when you find something funny?
It's hard
I've never used them... I find them immature at times. Also, I'm really, really slow at catching them most of the time. Coworkers use them a lot and occasionally I "get it" but most of the time I'm just like "...huh?"

Reading this thread you would think all double-entendres are sex jokes.
Well, I was going to say something about that... but then I started to doubt myself and Googled it, and apparently the general consensus is that most double-entendres are actually veiled innuendo. I dunno... there I was thinking it was more... witty. I usually do find the subtle stuff side-splittingly funny, but then my sense of humour is very dry.
Happens to me all the time, with coworkers especially, and with my former GF. She would just laugh at something I said and I'd be like ... um ... oh, I get it now!
Often, now, having been "corrupted," I know full well that something I'm saying can be taken in a different way, but I say it anyway, kind of in a "heck with it, I'm not letting your immaturity dictate my word choice" kinda way. ;)
Y'all are talking about my signature arn't you? Yes I noticed and no it wasn't intentional. I can't say that I disagree with the added meaning though. I'm deep like that.
I love double entendres.
