    I found this on discoveryourpersonality.com.

Here are some statistics for INFPs:

    • Have a general advantage in foreign language learning.
    • Most likely of all the types to report suicidal thoughts in college.
    • In national sample "Leisure Activities," overrepresented in "Writing," "Appreciating art," "Reading," and "Listening to music."
    • Academic subjects preferred: art, English, music.
    • Among 3 highest types favoring work environments with "Independence & achievement," and include among top 3 desirable characteristics "Variety of tasks" and "Clear structure."
    • In national sample, greatest dissatisfiers in the work environment were "Promotions," "Amount of stress," and "Opportunities for accomplishment."
    • In national sample, with INTPs, most dissatisfied with the work they do, where they work, and future work opportunities, and likely to leave job.
    • Underrepresented among men with chronic pain.
    • Showed the highest level of depression of the 16 types with chronic pain.

The first 5 seem pretty accurate.

But INFPs want clear structure at work? Huh? I prefer a casual, unstructured environment that's conducive to creativity and necessary goofing off, erm, inspiration-seeking time

I actually prefer structure at work; although I don't like my job and sometimes I'm a little late. I don't goof around and have fun as much as others do. I like to know exactly what I'm doing at work and how I'm going to do it because I don't want to make any mistakes. I seem to like things more structured than my co-workers, which is odd, because outside of work I am anything but structured.

I don't have my ideal job either. I would much rather have a job that doesn't have deadlines and lets me be late and utilize my creativity .

I agree with the structure thing. I find that when there is structure in a school or work setting, it complements my unstructuredness in general.

Other than the fact of I'm terrible with music...(singing doesn't count right?).....this is kinda spooky. To me anyway, I'm still new to all this personality stuff, so finding myself having many of those traits. Well at least until the national survey stuff.

I love learning foreign languages. Foreign languages are a major interest of mine.

Most likely of all the types to report suicidal thoughts in college.
Yeah, I can definitely see this!

In national sample "Leisure Activities," overrepresented in "Writing," "Appreciating art," "Reading," and "Listening to music."

I really like listening to music and reading. I also write for a living. I can't say I particularly enjoy writing, though.

Among 3 highest types favoring work environments with "Independence & achievement," and include among top 3 desirable characteristics "Variety of tasks" and "Clear structure."
Structure is extremely important for me. I tend to not do so well when there is no structure.

In national sample, with INTPs, most dissatisfied with the work they do, where they work, and future work opportunities, and likely to leave job.

Yeah, this is me. I've never been particularly happy in a job.

Overrepresented among a sample of male therapists.
I am not male, but the idea of being a therapist interests me.

wow most of these are true haha, i even do unusually well in my spanish class and i enjoy learning foreign languages even though it seems most people just do it because its required in highschool =p except for the depression/suicidal part - im actually generally a pretty optimistic, happy person x)

    * Most important feature of an ideal job: creativity and originality. Ohh, that's definitely up there! I think I'd rate compassion and kindness higher though
    * Have a general advantage in foreign language learning. I loooove languages, but I have trouble with some pronunciations...like the French R for example.
    * Most likely of all the types to report suicidal thoughts in college. I could DEFINITELY see myself getting suicidal thoughts, but I got lucky and found an awesome group of friends whom I love very much.
    * In national sample "Leisure Activities," overrepresented in "Writing," "Appreciating art," "Reading," and "Listening to music." Yes, although I hardly ever read and I don't write as much as I'd like to, even though I really love to.
    * Academic subjects preferred: art, English, music. Art: yes; English: certain things about it, yes; Music: I love music but seem to lack musical talent. I taught myself some of the Peanuts song by myself yesterday on my friend's keyboard though, and I was pretty proud of myself (yes, I know it's very basic, but I was still happy )
