The youngest of 4..



A very chaotic household. Last in the pecking order. I never got pick anything so I retreated into my room and hung out with our dogs, invented games, played with Lego and read.
When I got a bit older I avoided my home as much as possible.
Oh!! and I am a Capricorn which is of no consequence.

I'm the youngest with one older brother. He's a Capricorn and I'm a Scorpio. I'm the more emotional one to be sure. :)

First born in my family. I have a half brother, and two half sisters. On my fathers side I believe I have three half sisters now - honestly I am not really sure. Like you I was given much more responsibility than my other siblings. When I asked my mother why years later she said, "You were always more mature than the others."

I am a first born and am an Aquarius. My brother (an ISFJ Gemini) is two years younger than me. I was also the first girl born on either side of the family. My cousin Ryan was the first grandbaby and he is seven years older than me so I could also be considered the first born grandbaby. I was given a considerable amount of love, attention, responsibility and expectation to succeed as a child because of this.

...also to everyone who has a major age difference between their siblings...If I remember correctly from a psych project I did in highschool...if you are at least a 5 + age difference between your sibling it is considered that you are actually a first born. Also, sometimes if there is a gender difference between siblings it is considered that each one would be first born no matter what the age gap is. This is because you are often treated as a first born due to the age and gender difference. For instance, some would consider both me and my brother first borns even though I was technically first. I think the gender thing might be an outdated idea as more and more girls and boys are treated more equally.

wow, I never heard that before....that is so interesting!!!!!

with my case personally, I do have a half-brother that is 10 years older than me, but my older sister is just 2 years older....and I was still given the responsibility to take care of her and my younger brother, who is just a year and a half younger...My dad was also given this responsibility...and came from a family of 5 and literally his siblings are all just a year or year and a half apart...my poor tiny 4'11" grandma was pregnant every year until she and my GrandDad were done at baby #5..lol. -My GrandDad was French-Jewish....I wonder if race has anything to do with this??? -I took a culture class, but they never mentioned anything about the children's roles....

anyway, thank you so much for this information! I'm sure it opened a lot of the INFJ eyes on here that are not the oldest and have older siblings :-)

I am the youngest but have had the highest level of maturity. For many years of my life, I was treated as the oldest child.

Birth order: Half Brother(no longer living) Sister 12 yrs older, Brother 11 yrs older, Sister 8 yrs older, Sister 8 yrs older (twins), Sister 7yrs older, Brother 7yrs older, Sister 7yrs older (triplets), Brother 6yrs older, Brother 2 yrs older, Then there's me! and then my lil' bro who is a year younger.

... and since we're throwing astrology in there, I'm a Leo.
