    INFJ Dreams

I'm sure there must of been a thread like this at some point...

I want to know if we INFJs share similar dreams. I know everyone, no matter the type share some dreams, like flying, being chased, and teeth falling out. But I wonder if there are some dreams that only INFJs have. I'm always being told I have wierd dreams when ever I tell anyone about them.

    So...
I offen have epic adventure type dreams that have complex storylines, sometimes involving time travel and almost always the end of the world. I usually can see massive landscapes in these dreams.

I also have dreams where I'm drowning but then realize I can secretly breath underwater. When I realize this I feel like I'm braking the rules. Like I'm cheating in my own dream.

I often dream about being attacked by someone or something and fighting for my life. But when I start winning the fight I get told by the attacker that I've gone too far and they're not playing anymore.

Trying to read in a dream is messed up. No one else I know has ever tried to read in a dream. But I know people have them.

Talking on the phone is messed up too. The person on the other end becomes really quite and than disappears. No one I know has ever had a phone call dream.

Anyway would be really cool to see if we share particular dreams...

Most of my dreams are either complex and apocalyptic, set up like movies, or quirky and random and don't make sense.

    Two recent recent dreams:

Across from my house there was a tree that had a bunch of giant-eyed owls that lived in it, and they would just stare at us, never doing anything else. So, I decided that I would climb up the tree and make my eyes really big and see if my mom could tell which one was me. So I did. And she couldn't figure out which set of giant eyes was me.

These strange alien insects were invading Earth, and just one bite could kill a human in seconds. I was with my dad and sister at the time they attacked. My dad shielded my sister and I from being attacked, dying in the process. My sister and I took refuge in a playground, and eventually the bugs started dying off as there were no more humans for them to feed off of. I decided it was probably safe to come out, and as soon as I did, I could hear the buzzing of a bug as it came down and bit me and my sister.

I have had a recurring dream of walking in somewhere topless. Every time I leave the house, I double, triple check I am completely clothed:)

My analytical take on this is sometimes I feel extremely exposed. I sometimes share things that I question if I should not have shared. Sometimes, I feel maybe I reveal too much about myself.

Haha I have the same kind of dreams. Always set after some kind of apocalypse, usually something has taken over like aliens or demons. and have complex stories. I often wake up thinking.. Dam that would make a good movie.

Had a cool one the other night. Where I was helping to rebuild civilization after some massive catastrophe. But the wired thing was me and my friends were randomly jumping forward in time. So we saw the civilization grow from a single village to a massive city. Then we found the ruler of the city was evil and had to stop him...

Ahh, I don't remember my dreams. But in the seldom times I happen to remember, they're either nightmares where I'm chasing after something slowly disappearing into the distance or incomprehensible dreams such as that of lions with chicken heads! Do daydreams count? ;D

Everyone's dreams are weird, infj or not. Whenever people talk about their dreams, they'll be like 'i had the weirdest dream last night'... I don't doubt that you did! 'weird' is like the defining characteristic of a dream.

ooo I've heard that you can't actually see words and numbers in your dream... or something like that. Don't know how true it is though. Do actually remember what you were reading specifically?

In the early hours of the morning, between my hitting the snooze button, i have a lot of dreams about murderers. I mean, no one's actually gotten killed in front of me, but I just know that these people are murders, and the dreams usually involves my life or someones elses life being put in danger. And it's often set up in a weird, fantasy land or something.

My friend, who is an INFJ, has prophetic dreams. She's had a few now. They're usually more symbolic, like one time she dreamed I was twins, a nice one and an evil one who chased her around holding a knife. This was right before I started having intense mood swings and would be nice one minute and absolutely horrible the next. It's quite scary how accurate the events of some of her dreams end up coming true. Anyone else have these? (not try to derail the thread but I'm so very curious)

I have dreams that feel hours long, generally involving people I know and all of us working together to achieve something. I had a brilliant one about 10 years ago of me and some friends (and sara michelle gellar and other assorted celebrities) at my grandfathers house when the "scream man" appeared in a window then at the top of the stairs... we were all quite perplexed and just stood and watched him try to be intimidating and finally gave up.

I don't have many dreams that I remember, but when I do they usually consist of either flight or running on all fours.

These dreams are also clairvoyant in a sense; I tend to see people and places that reveal themselves to me days (or even weeks) later in the waking world. Oftentimes I'll be somewhere and randomly get intense senses of deja vu. When I search my visual memory for a match, it's usually something I dreamt about.

I sometimes have nightmares where I am chased. But most of the times my dreams are just nonsense.
