What are some fictional characters you know that you think are INFJ??

I know Amelie is for sure, as is discussed in another thread I started and most sources say she is.

Another that comes to mind is Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I know she is definitely an INFX at least. If there's any disney princess I'd relate myself to it would be her.

I've been watching a show recently, which is not on the air anymore, called "Huff", staring Hank Azaria as psychiatrist Dr. Craig "Huff" Huffstodt.

I think he's an INFJ with attitude issues. He's very compassionate, sensitive to other people, and often gets so absorbed into other people's problems that his wife constantly questions his loyalty to his family. He has a hard time thinking of one person as more important than any other, and devotes a lot of his time to his patients.

Anyone mentioned Superman yet? In some of the most intimate, deep incarnations of Superman, when the writer really delves into the psychology of his character, in the best versions of Superman, he seems to be an INFJ (and I don't say they are the best because he's an INFJ). He's driven by compassion, yet still has an intellectual side. He's passionate about his cause, and he loves his mother.
Now, I'll admit, being a vegetarian, I may be a little biased here, but in Superman: Birthright, a series by Grant Morrison, Superman was written as a vegetarian. Whether or not you have adopted this lifestyle, you'll see his reasoning is very much that of an INFJ.

Oh, I've always wanted to participate in a discussion like this... Are INFJs rare in fiction, too? I only read teen/children's fiction (I'm very sheltered and all else is deemed inappropriate...) and some classics, but they're very hard to find in those... Which isn't always enlightening, as I have this selfish need to either love or relate to a character in order to truly enjoy a book.

There is one character who I really relate to, Vin from Mistborn... I don't believe many have read Mistborn, but it's truly a good book series, with a very unique plot and an intriguing world and unbelievably wonderful characters; I highly suggest reading it. I really related to Vin, the main character, when reading it, which is quite odd because she doesn't seem like an INFJ at all at first glance. She's a fighter, and cares little for moral cause so much as she wants to protect those she loves and keep herself alive, but this I attribute to her hard life as a child... She is very introverted, Ni, as she does see connections others don't and thinks ahead, and has a very well developed Se that helps her perform wise actions from her rough upbringing. Behind that, she has Fe, which clashes with the other main character's strong Fi. She has a subtle but present compassion for everyone, and begs (internally) for mercy where her Fi counterpart desires revenge and murder of enemies. She doesn't speak often, but when she does, it's very logical, as characteristic of Tis.

She could also be ISTP, yet she seems more inclined to INFJ tendencies than one with natural ISTP ways...

I also relate a bit to Peeta and Delly from the Hunger Games (I really need to read some non-mainstream books...), though I think Delly is probably ENFJ. (Peeta could be INFJ... I'm not sure exactly yet.)

Oh! And Risa from Unwind seems VERY INFJ.

I do think Drizzt Do'Urden is one. (While, interestingly enough, I think Cadderly is ENTP, at least at the beginning of his stories--he became more balanced towards the end, which makes me wonder if R.A. Salvatore himself is an INFJ.)

I think Aragorn as he was presented in the book was INFJ, though the movie one was more ISTJ.

Tanis Half-Elven and Raistlin were kinda close, though Tanis had more S and T in him and Raistlin was more like an INTJ.

I can't think of many other possibilities.

I think I may be a tiny bit late to this thread, but I'm surprised that Lisa Simpson has only once been mentioned!
But I'd certainly say that she is an INFJ, because I can relate to her, so well.
To add, I'm often told, by my Dad, that she reminds him of me. :')

Robin Sena from Witch Hunter Robin

Re-I Mayer from Ergo Proxy

When watching the shows, I could relate strongly to both of them. Listening to their heart and brain at the same time, but ultimately doing the thing they believe is good/right. Re-I Mayer is a very analytical person and I especially thought INFJ when this guy started to like her and she starts have feelings for him too while being very subtle about it.

Oh wow... Robin from One Piece. Sephiroth and possibly Tifa from Final Fantasy VII. Itachi Uchiha from Naruto. Luke Skywalker was probably already mentioned.

I've seen suggestions on here of Ashley Wilkes (Gone With the Wind) and Remus Lupin (Harry Potter) being INFJs. I'd have to say I agree with both of these completely. Especially Ashley, at the part when he is telling Scarlett there is no way he could ever give all of himself to her, because Ashley doesn't even know all the parts to himself.

Oh, I don't know! I will have to get my copy of Gone with the Wind out to see the exact line. It doesn't sound as eloquent when I paraphrase it like that.

As for another character, I would be willing to bet that Niles Crane (Frasier's brother) from Frasier is an INFJ. It seems like I identify with him in some way almost in every episode. His 7+ years of unrequited love for Daphne to me just screams INFJ. "Just for tonight, could you call me Niles?" :)

I bet this has already been said, but... BATMAN.

I've rackled my brains trying to come up with just one fictional INFJ. I think Edgar the shakespearean character in King Lear is an INFJ. I've often seen Friar Lawrence and Juliet from Romeo and Juliet both typed as an INFJ as well. Disagree. Friar Lawrence INTP and Juliet INFP.

Still on with classical references, Colonel Brandon (Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility) is often regarded as an INFJ example.

Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird
Also, possibly Reynie Muldoon from The Mysterious Benedict Society. But that's not a very common book (especially for adults), so it's likely none of you have any idea who I'm talking about...

Sydney Carton - Tale of Two Cities
Adah Price - The Poisonwood Bible
Leah Price - The Poisonwood Bible
Charlie - The Perks of Being a Wallflower (though I haven't read the book yet...)
Fanny Price - Mansfield Park (unless she's INFP)
Jennifer Parker - Rage of Angels (maybe...)
Mary Bertison - The Swan Thieves
Findbar - the Sevenwaters series
Linus Van Pelt - Peanut comics
Obi-Wan Kenobe - Star Wars
Peggy Olson - Mad Men (unless she's INTJ...)

I like finding INFJs in fiction :proud: Unfortunately that's about all I've come upon so far...
