Do INFJ's like to take things apart and put them back together?

Do INFJ's like to take things apart and put them back together? And if not then do you know what types do like to do that? And also do INFJ's like to hug people, or only hug their close freinds or relatives? And if not what personality type does not like to hug people, but rather maybe just their close ones? I can think of one, the Expert, the INTJ, i know is difficult to get hugs out of but not impossible but that's after they get to know you and warm up to you, and i'm not talking about intimate relationships, i'm just talking about friendship. Does the INTJ like to take things apart and put them back together? And are the INTJ's more future oriented?

    So in other words:
What types do not like to hug people?
What types like to take things apart and put them back together?
    What types are future oriented?

    Thanks

I hope someone gives you an answer because I know a person who is like this, too.

Take apart what kinds of things?

Off the top of my head, I'd say that's more me than my INFJ boyfriend. However, we're both quite reserved when it comes to physical affection (which made the beginning of our relationship pretty hilarious), but it might differ with INFJ women, as I don't know any irl.

We're both quite future oriented. Most introverts are probably fairly reserved with hugging people. When I think of taking things apart, I automatically think of Ti-doms, so ISTPs and INTPs.

Sorry, I don't know how helpful that is.

Replace *things* with *people* and you may be slightly closer. ;o) :oP

What types do not like to hug people?
I second the comment: Most introverts. Also, probably, nearly all Highly Sensitive Persons (The Highly Sensitive Person Book). Personally, I voluntarily hug 1. people I am in love with, and 2. .....end of list. Though my Fe does pressure me to accept others' hugs, I really hate it. Some INFJ's are practically gregarious and some are very very closed off. I think it depends on degree of introversion and also, perhaps, how much they rely on extraverted Feeling in daily life.

What types like to take things apart and put them back together?
Ti (introverted Thinking), with a dash of S, I would think. I do this, but with people; I want to know how a person works. The more complex they are, the better. Seems pretty common among INFJ's. Guess our Fe makes us people-centered.

    What types are future oriented?
If I recall correctly, that's mainly an N thing. Ni predicts trends, Ne projects possibilities. Theoretically speaking, Ne might be "more" future-oriented (if only because it invents so MANY futures to think about), but probably not by much.

Also seconding: Have you considered INTP? (Portrait of an INTP)

These questions are making me intrigued about whatever situation could have provoked them... and also, whether you're interested in this person's Enneagram type. I take the Enneagram to be useful for navigating a relationship (whether romantic or friendship), and MBTI type code for communicating within that relationship. S/N and T/F types communicate and express things very differently; but Enneagram types want and say different things.

They could be an ENTJ. ENTJs aren't huggy types, they are future oriented, and one of the newer ENTJs on the forum described enjoying taking things apart and putting them back together: I'm an ENTJ, and I talk too much.

Ni users are future oriented. Given that both INFj and INTJ have Ni as their dominant function, they are equally future oriented. INFJs use this in order to predict human behavior.

I like taking things apart and putting them back together
I also like figuring out people; as someone else mentioned, the more complex the better
I'll hug the people I'm friends/comfortable with, but if someone I don't really know tries it, it's not fun (I _really_ do not like handshakes)

    1. Do INFJ's like to take things apart and put them back together?
I do this all the time...with ideas. With physical objects, no, I always fear that I'm going to mess up. Which I have; I once took apart a toy gun to fix it, and when I put it back together, I couldn't get the trigger back in place.

    2. Do INFJ's like to hug people, or only hug their close friends or relatives?
I love to hug people, but over time, I've come to be very conservative regarding it. I don't like spreading myself too thin.

    3. Does the INTJ like to take things apart and put them back together?
More so than INFJs, but again, rather with ideas.

    4. Are the INTJ's more future oriented?
    No less than INFJs.

    5. What types do not like to hug people?
I'd guess xSTJ and IxTP the most. The low Fi/Fe in xSTJ and IxTP tend to make them very choosy in this regard.

    6. What types like to take things apart and put them back together?
xSTP types the most. I would think this is a trait associated with Ti, because Ti wants to understand systems holistically.

    7. What types are future oriented?
Anybody with Ni is generally future-oriented. I'd think Ne is also future-oriented, in a different way than Ni - 'there is a possibility I see and I will work towards it actively in order to accommodate that possibility.' Ni is more, 'there is a possibility I see and I will change personal perspectives myself to accommodate that possibility.'
Keep in mind those are very loose generalizations, though.
