Is it just me, or is anxiety popular among INFJ's?

Unfortunately popular, I should say :P

Anyways, is it just me or does it seem that way to you guys? I knew very few INFJ's (and other INFx), and they all have anxiety. For me, I always get anxious before any "important" event or something that has to do with people. Even if I know it's going to go absolutely swell because they're friends / nice people, I still get really anxious because I'm always thinking "what if", and just over-thinking in general.

Anybody else plagued with anxiety and over-thinking?

INFJ's are complicated. Complicated people did not become complicated by having simple lives.

Heh, definately not just you Weird,.
i have been crippled by all kinds of silly arsed anxiety since childhood, agoraphobia,.. self consciousness, nervous about going out, even with freinds,..I even get nervous before making a routine phone call to some person I know on the fone.
    Reality just overwhelms me,..
There is a level of sensitivity in NF's that is generally known, but the sheer depth of it, is unknowable to most people.
The things we stress about are infinite.
Oh, and then trying to embark on a conversation with someone you poentially romanticly like, or relationships,..this is a whole new level of anxiety..its off the charts..
I beleive NF's are inherantly neurotic,.. its part of what makes us who we are,.. yet, its the stuff that gives us our better qualities too, in some ways,.. out of our anxieties, comes empathy.
Ive noticed confident people usually dont pay too much attention to other peoples worries or insecurities,.. its something that probably makes us essentially INFJ, our anxieties are the reason we can 'put ourselves in others shoes' to such a great extent.

I don't really find it movie, but its true. Not all people think about this stuff. Those who have anxiety filled childhoods are very likely to have high anxiety as adults.

This is a trick question.. because, I can be extremely anxious.
But if I am anxious it's because I am certain something is not right.
Otherwise I am usually relaxed, steady and confident.

I'm an INFJ and I certainly have anxiety though I try my best to deal with it unmedicated. I have klonopin on me at all times just in case I don't feel in control. I have a tendency to suffer from severe panic attacks that can come on spontaneously, even sometimes waking me from sleep. I've also, from time to time, been plagued with unwanted thoughts or images in my head.

Yup. I had a feeling you might be a Type 6 the minute I saw the thread title.

In this case many INFJ's may not be able to relate to you - but a lot of Type 6's will for the most part, because anxiety is an underlying Type 6 weakness. The key motivations of Type 6's is to:

want to have security, to feel supported by others, to have certitude and reassurance, to test the attitudes of others toward them, to fight against anxiety and insecurity.
