This thread is to give a shout out to that very first person(s) who really "connected" you to PerC (made you feel at home, brought you in to their lives). Say what you wish to this person.

Mine is @Female INFJ.

She was the first to really go past the surface layer of me and dig below to see what was there. She has inspired my "action poet" status and is a wonderful person. And a fiery leo, what more can be desired? lol...





Friendship is the backup heart compass.


So I just wanted to give her a special shout out for being herself because she is so special.

Yep mine was @FemaleINFJ too ^^, she is way too friendly and for awhile i was a bit confused as to why that was.

But she is a fun and interesting leo just like me and she is a good friend, and i hope to someday be able to be a good friend in return ^^

Thanks FemaleINFJ ^^, your inner beauty is special and very central to our community even when you go through your quiet periods ^^

For me, it was @napoleon227 .... He extended a warm hand of friendship when I was going through the darkest days of my divorce ... in fact, the first person ever to do so out of their own accord ... Without his kindness, I would not have even known that kindness could exist because I came in to PerC with the burden of over 7 years of emotional abuse, and 8 years of untreated PTSD.

Since then, the connections just kept happening and adding to my own personal strength ... and the last 4 months of my life have been a learning experience, a healing one.

There are many, many people I want to mention on PerC who have taken me from the depths of almost committing suicide to actually harnessing my madness and converting it into healthy, positive action. But, I may miss out some ... so .. I apologize in advance.

OK .. if anyone thinks that I'm going over-board with this .. I hmmm .... have nothing to say .. because I don't have any other way to repay kindness.

Here goes:

@snail - for her words of support, friendship and kindness and making me realize that I deserve kindness when I came in believing that I didn't and helped me see that even though I used to consider myself a failure, perhaps I'm not.

@WickedQueen - for her strong voice of reason and allowing me to re-learn that being a Muslim in a predominantly non-Muslim community is nothing to hide. So in time, I have been proudly able to say that I am a Muslim - and of course, learning to appreciate my religion in a new light is owed to her.

@Surreal Snake - for his wonderful poetry and the thread that helped me find kindred spirits where I release my negative energy and fill myself up with renewed hope. Kev taught me to survive

@Dalien - for being a survivor and helping me realize what survival, strength and determination is all about.

@PlushWitch - well, what can i say about you .. you're the one that first made me realize that I'm not an INFJ, but an unhealthy ENFJ .. so you're basically the one that made me see the light :)

@Vivid Melody - oh you I connected with just cuz you have an ENFJ husband ;) So you're experienced in dealing with our feelings. Thanks for the support throughout my stay here.

And then there are many people who constantly respond to, or thank my endless rantings about my life: @Aizar, @Tsuki, @seastallion, @rubelin, @Sheppard, @Selene [and I know I'm missing out a few :( ]

@KC Tan, @Lost in Oblivion, @wondersueak, @sireH ... you're like siblings to me. And of course the INFJ Underground ... you guys/gals are the highlight of my day .. you know who you are, so I'm not gonna reveal you ;)

And ... I reserve a special place in my heart for @shampoo and @violetta ... You girls replaced one of the most important things I lost and you know what that is.

So ... reasons to live ... yeah .. there are plenty ! Bring it on Life :) A lot of people say not to get too attached to online parasocial relationships ... yeah .. well, I got emotionally attached to people IRL and look where it got me !! At least the emotional connections here are healthy ones that make me happy !

[ and if I forgot anyone .. feel free to shoot me, insult me ... but do mention it because I haven't left anyone out on purpose .. it just kinda happened :( ]

It wasn't really any one person I think. There were a lot of small gestures of what I think was genuine kindness and radness, yes, radness, from multiple people, towards each other and myself, that kind of connected me to the community as a whole, I feel.

You guys are all awesome in my book :)

Whenever I needed a kick in my ass to not give up on writing something creatively, Dalien provided me with that. And support, encouragement.

And Surreal Snake, who's incredible creativity served as a mirror for me. You made me see things in myself I was not looking at. Your poetry rocks, sometimes in a bitter medicine kind of way. :)

I don't like to single out people because I don't want to miss anyone out and I see everyone as one. I believe the INFJ community plays a big role into bringing people here so I would have to thanks everyone for making me feel welcome here. I learn a lot about myself just by being a part of this community. I also want to thank for everyone who take the time to talk to me and read my posts/blog. I truly appreciate it!

Wow. This is actually a fantastic thread.

As far as people who have inspired/connected with me, you know who you are! haha I have the shittiest of memory and wouldn't want to miss someone so if you've ever had a conversation with me and you felt good about it afterwards, chances are so did I! Thanks for making me feel at home and for showing me friendship at a time when I literally have none.

It was you, @Berdudget , @OscarHollywood , and @Jackdaw ; my first friends here and made a huge impression on me. And there are several other people who I've meet on PerC who I've become close to as well. All of you are great and have helped me to think more optimistically about humanity. Thank you!
