I love both dogs and cats. I feel guilty for not being a vegan, or at least vegetarian. I feel how @snail described.

I highly dislike people who dislike dogs. Look, Santa even turned into a dog this year and he gave me presents. And no, they weren't poops!



That there is a dog named Brady and he's the sweetest dog. He silently comes over and licks me once when I cry then lays so close to me. Only dog I've known who does that. Then I have this other one who is on my lap right now. He was my mom-in-law's dog before she died. He's always got to be attached to my hip. Yes, very needy dog but he is sweet.

I also have two cats. One sort of acts like a dog because she's so darn happy all the time.

So am I dog or a cat person? Neither really. It's hard to discriminate because both dogs and cats' personalities vary so greatly just like people. Not all dogs are one way and not all cats are another way. It all depends on the personality of the animal for me. So long as the dog/cat in question isn't a meanie (most aren't) then I'll love them to pieces. They're always there at the end of the day, they always forgive you even when you've been mean etc. which is more than I can say for most people.

I'm definitely a cat person. I used to hate dogs, but am warming up to them more and more. I still prefer small dogs though.
I also realize that most dogs that I don't like, more blame falls on the owner than the dog. When people have huge excitable dogs and they never bathe or discipline them, I just think that person shouldn't have that dog.
I'm also a small person, so big dogs can be too much for me.
It just depends on what breed of dog it is and what temperment. I've always had a big soft spot for Siberian huskies. They seem to be more intelligent and obedient than most other dogs. Not to mention that they are really gorgeous creatures.
