Atheist? Christian? Islamic? Agnostic? Other religion?

Hello Fellow INFJs (or any other type that decided to view this thread),

I've noticed that many INFJs believe in some kind of God or higher power and I'm curious as to why you believe this? I'm also curious as to how many INFJs are atheists.

(Please do not consider this as a aggressive advancement towards your belief. I am simply curious).

Agnostic theist. I was raised Roman Catholic, but I've always had my doubts. As I got older, I realized that too many Christian tenets were against my beliefs for me to call myself Roman Catholic anymore, and I've grown uncomfortable with the notion of organized religion altogether. However, I still can't shake the notion that there's some kind of benevolent larger power, though it may not necessarily be omnipotent/omniscient/conceivable by human minds at all.

Would you care to elaborate just out of pure curiosity? Not intending to argue/debate or anything. I've always wondered what reasons people have for doing this.

Christian. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints -- colloquially referred to as the "Mormons."

And there was a thread about this same topic last year. Most INFJs displayed views of atheism and agnosticism, although a few confessed a spiritual connection with the universe as a whole. If anyone is interested, I encourage you to dig it back up; it was a fascinating read.

Atheist and Secular Humanist. But I am very spiritual, I just have my own interpretations of things and I wanna believe whatever works for me. I think that religion is a deeply personal thing and so I rarely talk about my views and don't wish to push them on, nor debate them with others. At the same time, I prefer people with other views avoid preaching their favorite brand or flavor at me as well. To each their own. Live and let live.
