I think it is important to note that being an idealist does not confer immunity from error. It does not obviate the existence of evil. To understand how an evil figure like Hitler could have been an idealist one must examine the philosophy upon which his movement was founded. | I think that was brilliant. Thank you. |

You're right, Hitler wanted to make Germany an Utopic country and thought that the germans were superior to others. However, as psichologists describe the protectors, they are good and generous people. It's hard to believe that Hitler was such a person. |

Well, until he shot them and stuff.
Hey, he was a vegetarian and a painter too! ;-)
People of every MBTI type need to get over thinking personality type conveys any general morals or humanity to individuals. I cringe to think that although there are ENTP's who are pioneering physicists and inventors, the negative stereotype is the slick-talking half-assed lawyer who will stop at nothing to get what he thinks he wants. Most of us are somewhere in the middle. Mediocre and all that. |

He was at one time in love with his niece Geli Raubal who lived with him. That's perverted. A rumor has been for years that Hitler's parents were 2nd cousins but it can't be pinned down, it wouldn't surprise me though being as he did have an unusual relationship and obsession with his niece until her mysterious suicide. Many Dictators of the past dabbled in incest , especially many of the sexually twisted ancient Roman Caesars. |

NF are "Idealists" because we process the combination of iNtuition and Feeling first which is very abstract. Feeling is an executive function - it is a judging function. (Hey even P's have to reach a conclusion every now and then.) Preferring to lead with F doesn't confer morality.
Every type has every function somewhere in their lineup. No human being gets away with just thinking or just feeling. It bugs me that some of my fellow NFs can get the idea that a cognitive preference can somehow endow them with a greater moral instinct. It may give you a greater preference for the "Ideal" - but is the "Ideal" that you've chosen moral? |

Hmm,a question to think about. I'm not a psichologist so I don't know much about human mind. I chose to believe that a cognitive preference cannot change someone in better or for worse, although some may say I'm wrong. I also know that the environment in which you grow up contributes to the adult that you'll become. But I think that you can choose the kind of person you want to be and make the right decisions in life. I just can't understand what could have determined Hitler to kill so many people. Yes, he believed in Karl Marx's theories, but what could have affected him so much in order to condamn so many people to death for only not having blue eyes and blonde hair? |

And this guy from Breaking Benjamin band, Benjamin Burnley even though I am not sure. I suspect him as an ENTJ type 7 after viewing some interviews.
However this song of him is so INFJ. |
