    Are you understood?

    From heart to heart.
    Does anyone truly "Get" you?
Do they know how you work, what motivates you, the reasons behind your actions?

Or are you alone, an unknown number in the human equation? A beautiful anomaly or a horrid miscalculation?

    How do you see it?

No one truly gets me. No one that's in my life anyway, that I'm aware of... :(

I never really have anyone that gets me. But I'm rather content with that in a way ~ life would be boring if they understood me. I get to show them who I am and how I am one step at a time, and they learn to trust me, not understand me. If someone says they understand me, it's usually that they only understand that little fraction of the pie at that moment in time in a given situation that they've been through before and can relate to. And that's alright - but they don't understand me entirely.

I particularly enjoy being a mystery, I seem interesting that way.

I spent a lot of years feeling there wasn't 1 person in the world that TRULY understood me. My ISFP type 9w8 brother came pretty close, though. We are very different but have always been close and he gave me a sense of being understood. Then, fresh out of high school, I met an INTJ type 5 girl who seemed to, as Keirsey puts it, 'see through my soul.' We moved in together. Unfortunately, I 4-ed the heck out of her and sent her running for a few years. We recently reconnected and the bridge of mental compatibility is as strong as ever. In the past few years I have "collected" several NF and NT friends who - the way I see it - value me enough to spend time figuring me out. I have felt more "understood" by a couple INTPs than by anyone else. There are times when I can see in my ENTP husband's eyes that he truly does "get" me. But, for the most part, I think he finds that exhausting. LOL.
