    That's a criticism I hear often.

People don't take into account that everybody's also behaving outside their box.

It's just about which box you prefer most of the time.

Or which two boxes for example, like the SO of MuChApArAdOx.

When I took some kinds of MBTI copies on okcupid a good four years ago. And I just took them for some random okcupid tests, read the descriptions, but was not more interested than in the other test results I got there. I got really interested in the Jungian typology 5 months ago when I actually had to learn for two exams...

A fellow student of mine is probably an INFJ. She's only a LITTLE bit interested but not enough to read about it herself. And she doesn't really care about her type. Well...and she's overall had a very problem-free life so far.
    Peer thanked this post.

    What I mean is:

MBT or any kind of typology isn't scientific, it only exists in the subjective, it only exists in broad generalizations. For a hypothesis though it impressively covers a lot, but people take it far too literally, INFJs don't actually exist, they're just an idea not a concrete, they are not fact.

    Hi MuChApArAdOx.

I'm Canadian too! Yay! Actually I was quite skeptical at first about Personality Types, now I'm excited to learn more about myself and others. I think people these days are so busy in life, it is difficult to fit in learning new things. This could be part of the skepticism of an INFJ. Say, MuChApArAdOx, I like this person who is kind of INTJ-INFJ, what are they like?

What are some good and bad things about your boyfriend? Of course you can only say 'good' things to be polite! But please do not reply if you do not wish to discuss! I just thought to ask, I rarely miss out opportunities to ask questions! I think I am an INTJ-ish INFJ for sure. I seem extroverted but I am really not. A lot of contradictory activity in my personality I suppose. I really like my INTJ-ish friend, and I'm wondering more about what he is like.

More than likely he's an INTJ, an INTJ would see less practical use in something so unscientific and lacking empirical evidence.

I second that. But when you get into MBTI, youre gonna take it seriously. Look at your judgement just above ;). Me and everyone would, it's just is what your mind is set on.

Very true. It still captures in a way how and why you see things the way you do though. This goes for all personality types. They don't completely match you as one certain personality, but it does a great job at just believing in yourself more that there is a reason the world doesn't revolve the way you want it to.
