I'd like to know if anyone here has had some experience with Numerology, or has researched it. There are some things about it that I find interesting, but at the same time there is a lot to it that seems new-agey and fantastical (you're about to see what I mean in a moment.)

In Numerology, you are given a number which is the sum total of a mathematical algorithm based on your birthdate and your name. (As far as I've seen) there are twelve possible outcomes, each with a certian profile attached to it. They are the numbers 1 - 9, as well as the "master numbers" 11, 22, and 33.

Now I noticed that a lot of Numerology calculators online will give you different results. Apparently that is because there are multiple versions of it (The one I'm using here is the 'Pythagorean' version, and to my knowledge the most widely accepted.)

Now I will discuss the 'Life Path' number. This number is specifically dependent on your birth date. So, I will use my own as an example. I won't even begin trying to explain the mathematics behind this (as my mental math is atrocious and cannot be trusted) so I will just post my result:

My birthday is 03/14/1987, giving me the result of the 'master number' 33. 33 is apparently synonomous with (or the greater form of) 6. Because of the fantastical descriptions for 33 however, I hesitated to believe that it was in fact the correct number... But apparently Albert Einstein is a famous 33, and his birth year is just a scramble of my own (He was born on 03/14/1897) so that concludes that it is indeed correct.

Now, listen to what some sites have to say about those with a Life Path #33:

A birth date that reduces down to 33 is very rare. When it does happen, you may be looking at a great and significant spiritual leader along the lines of the Dalai Lama or Ghandi. Remember that these people are also a 6 Life Path, which is a very nurturing and responsible number.

These individuals do not display any common themes in terms of their life story, but they usually achieve fame through acts of kindness, tenderness and compassion that lead to the transformation of the world's consciousness.

Sound INFJ-ish enough to you? Apparently the 33's are something to look out for, and a force to be reckoned with. It's said that this number relates best to the zodiac sign Pisces, which is another trait Alby and I share. <3

I've done some rummaging around and I have come across a rather faithful online Numerology Chart Calculator. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide an extremely helpful explanation behind the numbers, but it will provide you with Master Numbers (unlike most other sites) and also seems to be the most thorough at what it does (if only because it's the only site to ask for clarification regarding consonant/vowels like 'Y'.)

So, whether you know Numerology inside-out or you're just as new as I am, I'd like you to put your information in here and post the results. It's possible that there will be no correlation between Numerology and MBTI Type, but I'm still curious to see what comes of this.

Interesting subject(numerology).Well,since childhood i've always had this strange attachment to numbers and always thought it had more to it than just classroom maths.My interest rose more when i started reading the book of 'revelation' in the bible where the number '7' kept repeating in strange ways and connection to symbols.Then i realised that my hunches were right,indeed there is more to numbers than just classroom maths.Then i discovered something called 'numerology'.though i've never tried any test yet i feel the number 7 and it's traits has a serious hold on me,and i hope am right this time too...
