    What techniques are helpful

    Hi,
New to this site, very glad (and pleasantly suprised) to have found it!

Started poking around for any coping techniques or therapies that others have found helpful, anyone care to comment or point me in a direction?

    Thanks,

    Maybe you're a bit confused.

I arrived recently too, but I don't think INFJ is some sort of ilness or mental problem.
It's closer to a life style than that dude.

If you find the right therapists they can be helpful no matter where you are in your life, just don't make an appointment unless you are violently depressed.

cause other people need to get in their and talk.

    also... see reply above mine.

Apparently my question touched a nerve with some. Didn't expect such negative reactions to a sincere question.

    I am not confused.

Perhaps you are quite used to the symptoms and or happy with them ,in denial, or whatever.
Chronic sleep issues, non stop thinking, hypesensitive to name a few are significant .
I see no problem with asking a valid question.

If somehow that has offended you,see the part above about hypersensitivity.

It's not so much as negative feed back. We are just curious to what you are asking.

John, have you ever heard of HSP? If you are one, you might be experiencing more than most. There is a lot of books on this, one author is Elaine Aron. A different book I like with advice and coping strategies is Marti Olsen Laney's Introvert advantage: how to thrive in an extrovert world.

For techniques I usually use meditation, taking time out in the day for myself, practicing the arts etc... The usual diet, exercise etc that I refine more and more. For sleep, there are so many ideas out there... Waking and going to bed at the same hour everyday, exposing yourself to bright light once you wake (by sun or full spectrum light bulbs), vitamin intake, exercise, journaling before bedtime, cooler temperature for your bedroom, etc. There's also forms of hypnotherapy
