    INFJs and Animals

    Hey INFJs :3

One of my closest friends is an INFJ and she absolutely adores animals. Works at an animal shelter, comes home and takes amazing care of her pets at home. It's really endearing.

I was wondering: are all INFJs like this? As in, do they like caring about animals, people, things... And then my second question, if you can answer it, do they see ENFPs as one of these pets they can't help but take care of? It was a thought that came to me earlier, and I just realized how "pet-like" ENFPs can be and how we seem to exude this, "I love you! Please give me your love and protection!" sort of aura and it's a bit unnerving for me to think about it... (Sigh)

I absolutely love animals, especially cats Pets are awesome because they don't judge you in any way nor care about the way you look etc.. You don't have to worry about their "opinions" or hidden motives while spending time with them. That's why I find it a lot easier to be myself with them, and I feel like I can trust them a lot more than people in general. It's weird, I know

I kinda like pets or animals, in a certain way. And, as long as they're docile and not hostile, I think I'd be fine.

Keeping them, however, is another thing. It's a matter best reserved for someone else; someone more caring and responsible to take care of a life.

The problem with keeping an ENFP is that it sheds on your couch if you don't pay attention to it all the time.

I'm an INFJ and I totally relate to your INFJ friend. :) I love animals, especially cats. I also agree with Kaarna who said they don't judge you or care for looks. I love this about animals and it may sound strange to some people, but I trust my cat more than some of my friends. Well, most of my friends in fact. I have heard a lot of INFJ's are like this as well. Wouldn't have a clue about the ENFP thing, sorry. Sounds like a great analogy though! :)

I love animals (and partial to cats myself), but animals in general seem to tug directly on my heart strings. I can almost literally feel the sensation in my chest and it makes me just want to protect every single one of them from harm of any kind - even each other.

But, realistically, my hands are full taking extraordinary care of the two cats I have. I have my limits on the energy I can expend on the actual care of animals, but gosh I wish I could. I also donate money whenever I can to the animal shelters, etc.

But this doesn't carry over to humans, because there are boundaries that need to be respected and each must live and learn their own path. No matter how darn fluffy and cute they are. :-P

I love animals and have three cats. I can't stand to see roadkill or even fake animal abuse or death in movies/on television.

i love animals in the sense that i am becoming vegan. don't have any pets, but if i were to have one i'd also choose to adopt from a rescue shelter rather than commercial trading avenues, which tend to rely on the industrial breeding of animals in often intolerable environments eg. puppy farms.

Love animals. The furry ones, the scaley ones, the feathered ones, um... well, some of the slimy and the crawlie ones :) (The ones I don't love, I know it's my fault not theirs'.)

ENFPs.... yes you are adorable and can be pet-like in terms of evoking the desire to cuddle and your awesome ability to cheer a person up, however I have never truly seen an ENFP as a pet because you guys also happen to speak quite intelligently and imaginatively. I don't think I have ever seen an ENFP as a toy-like human who I don't fully respect, I value your hearts and brains (and boisterous bodies). Actually, I dislike "pet". I prefer to have relationships with animals where neither of us is lording over the other, pet makes it sound like they exist purely for your needs and that you want them for what they can do for you, that who they are isn't really relevant.

I love animals too much. I have 10 as of now...oh wait 9 (we lost one :() One (a dog) isn't mine and is leaving us soon and then there are four kittens which will be adopted soon. It's a lot of work!

I don't know any ENFP's in real life but I know two INFP's. One is my younger brother. I don't see them as pets. I try to take care of everybody equally. I'm too much like a mom.
