    Fictional INFJs List

I'm really, really sorry if this has already been done before on here, but I was looking at the "Famous INFJs" list and was wondering about some fictional ones. I'm a writer and love picking out fictional characters' types in books, movies, and shows I watch, and the INFJs come up...ehh, once in awhile (which isn't too bad for being the "rarest" type ;) ).

I know it's kind of controversial to "type" fictional characters, but I actually try typing my own characters so that even the ones that are completely different from me have qualities that are very human and could easily be matched with someone of a certain personality. So let's just have fun with this! :)

    I'll start:
    Dumbledore (Harry Potter)
    Lily Potter (Harry Potter)
    Lisa Simpson (The Simpsons)
    Anne Elliot (Persuasion)

And...*maybe* Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird)? I remember one description of INFJs was about "poetic justice", and he pretty much typifies that.

    Unknown Personality

Everyone says Charles Xavier from X-Men is an INFJ but I just watched X-Men First Class last night and he struck me as an ENTP in that movie. Perhaps his ability makes Fe more pronounced. Magneto definitely an INFJ though. At least I think so from that movie.

People say Jon Snow from Game of Thrones is INFJ.

And I think Ricky Fitts in American Beauty is INFJ.

That's all I can think of for now.

The problem with these threads is their subjectivity..

Lisa Simpson is the poster child for INFP for example. :)

    Professor X (X-Men)
    Magneto (X-Men)
Elric of Melnibone ( Sci Fantasy Lit Character)
    Inara Serra (FireFly)
Hannibal Lecture (Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Hannibal)

I think Mordin Solus from the Mass Effect videogames is an INFJ.

Definitely Superman. I think in the most personal, intimate incarnation of the character (which stray away from the plain blue boyscout), he definitely comes off an as INFJ. If you see Superman Returns, this is evident.

Hm...I always thought Lisa Simpson would be an INFJ, because I (oddly enough) relate to her a lot. She's definitely a stereotypical NF, for sure...

    I have a couple others:
Danielle de Barbarac (Ever After: I was just watching this movie today, and she simply screamed INFJ to me)
Miri Larendaughter (Princess Academy by Shannon Hale: I'm a HUGE fan of this author, who seems like a pretty well-developed INFP to me--I met her in person. Anyway, the author has said that this character is much like her younger self, and I related to this character a LOT)

Any INFJ Shakespeare characters? I'm curious, because I think I'm going to get back on my Shakespeare kick/play-reading marathon again soon, and I'd like to look out for any INFJs he wrote about... :)

I always thought of him as an INTJ. It seemed really important to him to correct his "mistake" without giving a crap about what others thought. Talking him down took a lot without killing him. I could be mistaken however.

That aside, I'm pretty sure Luke Skywalker is.

    Leeloo Dallas (The Fifth Element)
    Haku (Spirited Away)
Falkor (The Neverending Story (*nods*...who says INFJ is limited to human?))
    Unicorn (The Last Unicorn)
Gandalf (The Lord of the Rings)

It's hard to say, because I see myself in many characters. I'm not sure if it's empathy or because they really are like me. A part of me wants to say all characters and all identities, though, especially any being that is powerful, but chooses to do good.
