    ENTP - The Visionaries

Any type can be goofy. It mostly depends on the levels of the functions. Watch the show and you'll see him all the time have intuition inferior moments. Half his comedy comes from those moments, where he doesn't understand something so he just writes it off as unimportant. ESTP are more than capable of coming up with ingenious plans, especially one who embraces Ni which at the end of the series he has.

And as for being clumsy, ENTP's aren't necessarily clumsy. I'm my own example here. I almost never fall down, ever. Even when something is super slippery, because I'm always ready to fall at any moment. Most of his clumsiness comes from his lack of understand of what will happen next. Look at episode 1, he is constantly living in the moment he is in, never really thinking things through to seeing what will happen next.
Hmm, your argument makes sense. My basis on Sokka being an ENTP was based more on comparing him to Jet (he's has way more charisma and grace in his style) and his inventive side. I didn't really base it off of functions though

    http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Korra#Personality
I think this will help with the argument.

    1. Sokka, ESTP not ENTP. The whole quest for him is about learning intuition. I love Sokka, I would love for him to be an ENTP. But he just isn't.
If he is an ESTP, his intuitive side is already well-developed. He seems to be good at making plans from the very start of the series.

    ESTP - The Doers

There is another thread for Avatar: The Last Airbender.

    Anywho, Tarlock - ESTJ?
    Tenzin seems more ISFJ

I think Asami is a esfp or isfp.

    ESFJ - The Caregivers

    Korra: ESTP
    Mako: ISTJ
    Bolin: ESFP
    Tenzin: ISFJ
    Bei Fong: xSTJ
Asami: probably too soon to tell, but ISFP

And my two cents on Sokka: ESTJ. They can be great planners.

He has a few memories that bother him, but they are simple regrets. It isn't an indication of Si inferior.
I just got through watching The King of Omashu. ...While I was skeptical when I first saw this, I now think you may be right. Bumi is a very obvious Ne-dom. Aang, however, didn't seem to use Ne to solve the challenges. At first, he took things at face value. He thought climbing the ladder would work, that Flopsy was the rabbit, and that Bumi was as frail as he appeared. His insights that allowed him to solve the challenges were Ni-esque bursts of realization. His Ni isn't strong enough to be dominant, but it's not so weak that it's inferior. He picks up spiritual concepts rather easily considering his age. I would say his Ni and Se are pretty balanced. However, his Se is probably a little stronger considering that his Se moments could be mistaken for Ne. So ISFP is actually plausible.

Now as for the topic of this thread...

Anyone have any thoughts on Tarrlok's type? My guess is ENTJ, but that may be going to much on stereotypes.

You're all fools. You're forgetting the most important character from both series. Cabbage man.

Okay. The cabbage man is ISTJ...maybe. :P

I think after the finale, I can make a more definitive typing of Amon and Tarrlok

Amon/Noatak-INTJ. He's more cold and analytical than passionate. His feelings about bring about equality stem from Fi, but he uses Ni+Te for planning. Of course, I could be wrong about this...especially with Yakone's bloodbending training.

Tarrlok-ENFJ. Yes, an NF villain. As a kid, he was sweet, but he became manipulative as an adult. I think he used Fe+Ni to manipulate people and predict how they would act. (i.e. Korra.) But I could be wrong about this one too.

I think I'll try enneagrams for kicks too. :P

    Korra: 8w7 3w4 6w7 (CP) sx/sp
    Bolin: 7w6 3w2 9w8 so/sx
    Mako: 6w5 3w4 8w9 sp/sx
    Tenzin: 1w9 6w5 2w1 soc/sp
    Lin: 8w9 3w4 6w5 (CP) sp/sx
    Tarrlok: 3w2 8w7 6w7 soc/sp
    Amon: 1w9 5w6 3w2 soc/sp

These are complete guesses. ^_^U ...I seem to have the hardest time figuring out the head fix, so those are probably the least accurate. I always want to put 6 if I'm not sure. And Amon's could be 6w5 too, but he seems more detached.

I actually thought this too after today's finale. I was very sure Tarrlock was an ENFJ after he explained his history. He definitely a "misguided" ENFJ. I personally think he's a good example of a NF "villain".
