Top 10 Smartest Villains and their Types ^^

I thought of a random topic to post that I didn't notice was done before. Just post in your opinion the 10 smartest villains and their MBTI. Here is my list:

    10. Orochimaru (Naruto) - ENTP
    9. Palpatine (Star Wars) -INTJ
    8. Klaus (Vampire Diaries) - INTJ
    7. Hannibal Lector (Silence of the Lambs) - INTJ
    6. Darth Traya (KOTOR) - INTJ
    5. Naraku (Inuyasha) - INFJ
    4. Kazou Kiriyama (Battle Royale) - ISTJ
    3. Light Yagami (Death Note) - ENTJ
    2. Tobi (Naruto) - INTJ
    1. Sosuke Aizen (Bleach) - INTJ
MNiS, Optimist Mind, Kriash and 1 others thanked this post.

For Palpatine I vote INTP or ENTP. I have no idea who most of those other people are.

Light Yagami strikes me more as being INTJ, and I haven't seen him typed as anything else.

    Not a bad list, though.

your typing here might be correct, but I see most real life villains as being Fi types, pursuing ideologies, no matter how cruel, to their end.

From personal experience, I don't think Aizen deserved number 1 -_-

Palpatine meticulously planned his rise to imperial power for well over a decade. That doesn't sound like INTP or ENTP to me.

No he didn't. His plans would change and he would kill his own allies at the drop of a hat.

Eh, I'm not seeing him as an ENTP: INTP, maybe, INTJ, probably. An ENTP planner would look more like the Joker, or (if you're familiar with A Song Of Ice And Fire) Littlefinger.

Like all meticulous planners, Palpatine had well-developed contingency plans that he could fall back on if something did not go according to his original plan (Darth Maul's death would be one such minor glitch in the over-arching plan). That apprentice was no sooner dead than Palpatine already had his eye on his apprentice-after-next (9-year-old Anakin), and he carefully groomed Anakin for 13 years before fully bringing him over to the Dark Side.

Both the long-term development of the Clone Army (a decade in the making) and the plan to create Civil War (which he controlled from both sides) were pieces of the bait that Palpatine ultimately used to get the Jedi to walk into the trap he had spent so many years laying.

As for killing his allies... absolutely. That is fully consistent with his status as Sith Lord. But Palpatine didn't tend to kill his allies on the spur of the moment. Having Anakin kill Dooku was part of the plan (much to Dooku's surprise!). It was a means to move Anakin away from the Jedi and more fully towards the Sith.

There's a lot more to the incredibly intricate - nearly Byzantine - plan that Palpatine drew up. But I'll shut up now on this topic so as not to hijack the thread. :)

I agree with the OP. INTJ for Palpatine.
