('THE* Dalai Lama' should be the title. I shouldn't start threads at 1:30 am *facepalm*)
Think you can type the holy giggle monster, the Dalai Lama?
Be warned, his laugh is contagious.

It's hard to say. From personal experience with meditation, I know that it can be used to strengthen certain cognitive functions that previously weren't as strong, which can throw off typing. For me, meditation made my Fi, Ni, Ti, Fe, and Se stronger and made me more much less vocal, so it's hard to say which cognitive processes he would favor if he didn't meditate every day. However, I think he might be ISTP, judging by what I read about him on some other posts.
I believe previous typings were based upon identification of a high ti/ni. Which is the horse and which is the cart is fairly irrelevant, the man is one of the few people that give me hope in humanity.
This is probably the first time I have watched Dalai Lama's interview videos so closely, and thank you for sharing them. The impression I am getting is ISTJ, meaning he is very traditional, practical, and persistent.
I highly recommend the documentary '10 Questions For the Dalai Lama'. Every time I've tried typing him, I simply cannot decide. He's so at peace with himself and jovial, while at the same time being so extremely attuned to the world and knowledgeable about it. I find it hard to type someone so well-adjusted.
The only thing I can get out of him is that he seems very Enneagram type 2.
I would say ISTP. Hard to explain but he seems very Ti-based in his reasoning. He also has the groundedness of an SP type.
As for Enneagram, I would say 9w1 for the Dalai Lama. He seems humble and somewhat indifferent to what others think about him.
He probably has a Two fix though.
