    Ender's Game is a classic sci-fi book.

I disagree on Ender. I've always thought he was INTJ. He is very decisive, thorough, and sees plans through either to the end or until they've been made obsolete. Furthermore, his recognition of the queen ship in the Bugger fleet seems more of an Ni revelation.

    How about Alai and Bean?

Are you sure Ender is INTP? He always seemed kind of INFP or maybe INFJ to me. I haven't read any of the books in a while though. Does he get more T-ish in some of the later books or something? I haven't read that many of them, so...

I would say Bean is an INTP. Or possibly INTJ, but INTP seems more likely to me. I don't really remember what Alai was like.

Nope, All NT's can plan if that is what you're going on Flows. He's also affected with his 3 which gives him the ability to plan more, but you'll notice the difference between him and Ender is that he likes to improvise more, and is more willing to throw his plan away. He demonstrated this by him wanting to throw his plan away out of angry instead of it being the right move. He also demonstrated his ability to improvise better then any Te dominate I've ever seen. No, He's an intuition dominate, and definitely a thinker. Which leaves INTJ and ENTP, and he's definitely an extrovert. He gets pleasure around people. Energy from being around them and then torturing them.

I say INTP for Ender for the exact same reason I did but with different functions. Ender displays a heavy dose of Ti every other sentence. He is always inside his own head. Now, the INTJs I've known were outside their head even when alone. You have to also remember that most of Ender's plans were flexible. They were open ended. He always liked to keep his options open and only did he become decisive when it was really needed. I did change his Enneagram though. I think he is a CP6w7.

Bean is a hard character for me because I haven't read Ender's Shadow. Thus I only have information provide from Ender's Game & in that book it was hard to tell if Bean was an extrovert or introvert because he displayed traits of both. It was also harder to tell if he was more flexible with his planning or more disciplined.

    Graff is a total ISTP

Alai really seems like an ENFJ who had his thinking function trained to the best it could be, but I still detect those underline feelings.

    What about Dirk?

and you didn't think I was going to let my original guesses go so easily did you?

    INTJ - The Scientists

It has been a while since I have read any of the books, so it is hard for me to say for sure:

    Peter-Definitely NT
Val-Definitely NF, I can see ENFP

I wouldn't be surprised if Orson Scott Card himself is INTP, which would effect the characters.

Yeah, having reread a bunch of Ender's Game, INTP for Ender is starting to sound plausible to me. I guess I remembered him being a lot more INFP than he actually is. Weird.

Speaker for the Dead was a better book. I really really enjoyed it.

I stick to my conclusion that Ender is INTP.

I also say that Jane is ENTP.

    The rest:

    Libo: ENFP
    Nova: INFJ
    Miro: ENFJ
    Pipo: INFP
    Marco: ESFP
    Quanda: ESFJ
