    INTJ - The Scientists

Well as for Kirk, the dynamic between his INTJ compatriot and himself resembles that of the interactions between an ENTP and INTJ:

The Ti appears to be operating well, but it takes an appropriate run of imagination and intuition to dig deep enough with that INTJ..

    As for picard:

So you're saying that Picard's Ti is not that well developed therefore he became fustrated and had no imagination to defeat the villain.
    Making him a dumb ass.

Your the Te dominant type, you figure that out for yourself.

The Margaret Thatcher reference also illustrates some key points regarding some discrepancies between the ESTJ and ENTJ argument regarding Picard.

    Returning to your original statement:
    Making him a dumb ass
If you watched that original episode, or even to the very end of the vid, it makes some key points regarding the ethics of succumbing to torture.. And he wouldn't. That alters the point from intelligence to integrity and intuition fueled dignity/perseverance.

    I understand now.
I guess I didn't like how he handled the situation, but I can't say I would have done it any different.
    As for the N.
I was with my friend/ex the other day and his N went to about 75%. He made me feel like a total sensor while I was around him.
He basically would concentrate and give himself more time.
So we really didn't talk as much as we usually do.
I felt a little alienated, but his thinking was very intuitive.
I was actually pretty proud of him .

N reasoning is so alien to me all the time. You guys are speaking gibberish.

Kirk would not say that.. He just gets bored. Not incensed.

I retract my statements of the first type assessment.. Kirk remains consistently ENTP..

Point of order: Intuition caused him to detect the Romulan attack during sleep.
He also is revered by his CO for intelligence, ability and a reckless nature.. This is more ENTx than ESTx..

The man remains ENTP.. Crazy as they are, they are also quite clever.. I maintain the type dynamic between himself and Spock is ENTP/INTJ

Uhura is INFJ, not INTJ.. She is not overtly emotional, that is true, but she is very competent, intuitive and has a strong dignity.. She does not use logic to a significant degree to validate a strong T, rather a more concentrated balance of Ni and Fe.. This reflects in her abilities.

    INTP - The Thinkers

Worf: ISTJ. Not N or F. Very I and J. Takes his duty and rituals very seriously.

Picard: INTJ. Decisive, introspective, ironic. His Ni is evident in his arguments, such as the ones with Q.

Spock: I'd say INT. Gravitates between J and P. But mostly P.

Scotty: Seems a bit NFP to me, but with a strong SP side.

    Troi: INFJ

New Kirk: ESTP all the way.
    Old Kirk: ENFP I'd say

Uhura: She seems SJ to me. Probably F. I/E hard to tell.

    Bones: I think ESFJ.

Q: ENT. Moreso J than P, but the line is close.

    Beverly Crusher: Pretty distinguished ISFJ
Wes Crusher: Seems like an IxFP. Moreso N than S.

Tasha Yar: She seems quite ISTP.

Ensign Ro: Hawt. I think ISTP as well. Maaaybe INTJ.

    Data: xNTP.
    Lore(Data's Evil Twin): ENTx

LaForge: Not sure what he is. Seems like an ENTJ. Struggles with interpersonal relations at times, very "out of the box" and seems to have an erotomania thing going with his ship, which to me screams NT.

to single out one episode to prove a character´s personality isn´t right, as fictional ones can be anything at some points, you have to judge by the big picture and their consistency.

picard is estj all the way. he has alot of fact knowledge but he rarely goes in deep discussions. q is more exception. and riker is esfp, quite likeable (spelling*), laid back but follows the rules and ethics.
data i´ve seen been characterized as intp, i suppose because he is quite open to new ideas and impressions and likes to go along with new experiences (go along, because others need to motivate).
wesley crusher is infp all the way
cpt janeway of voyager is entj
spock must be intj, wat too dutiful for a p
scotty is a bit too cheerfull among strangers to be intp, so i´m guessing extrovert in the old series, but introvert in the movie
