    Beauty and the Beast

Belle is without a doubt one of the INFP-iest INFPs I have ever seen.

Thoughts on the other characters? Gaston? Maurice? The Beast himself?

Maurice seems pretty xNTP to me, and Mrs. Potts strikes me as being rather ESFJ. Lumière also seems like quite the typical lady-killing ENFP, no? And Cogsworth -- ISTJ, perhaps...

    ENFP - The Inspirers

Gaston is ENTJ, Lafou ISTJ, Maurice ISTP,LuMiere is ENFJ, Chip is ENFP, Mrs. Potts is ESFJ, Cogsworth is INTJ, The Beast is ENFP-and I know because I've dated him.

Belle-INFP (No one can refute that).
    The beast-ISTP
    Gaston- ESTP

And I forgot the rest of the characters.

EDIT: Belle is an INFJ. She is not an INFP. She seems like she has Ni. I see no clear signs of Ne in her anywhere.

She's majorly imaginative, though -- always wanting a brighter future, to experience something new, or to go on an adventure. Furthermore, her Fi is pretty ridiculous! Nope, nope...INFP all the way.

I have it on DVD from when they released the two-disc collecters edition thing.... and I do agree that the "vault" is evil.

Ok on topic now, I think that Belle is an INFP but I'm absolutely terrible at typing people so the chances of me being wrong are...significantly high to say the least. As such, I will not type the others...I just had to comment on this since Beauty and the Beast is like my favorite Disney movie of all time. (*glances at avatar*)

Sorry for wasting this thread's time.

I just heard from a friend who just had a class on the analysis of Disney Movies. It was heart wrenching. Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite but I have to see her point.

It was that Beauty and the Beast sent the worse message to children and women in particular. At first I said "no way, Belle was smart and shit". But she pointed out, that Belle agrees to give up her values and leave her family to go live with the father. She ignores signs like the Beast's atrocious table manners. Whenever Belle "obeys" the Beast, he gives her gifts like the library. This is the typical cycle of violence. Even though he is a Beast, Belle believes her love can save and change him. This IS a horrible message for kids. Oy.....

Belle HAS to be an INFP. She is only seeing the good in others. I have made that same mistake over and over again as an ENFP. I don't see INFJ's doing that. They usually tell me when those I'm dating are a piece of shit.

Yep, I can definitely see it.

Her father came to live at the castle, so she didn't give up her family. He was in the last scene standing next to Mrs. Potts. And I don't think she gives up her values...anyway...just had to point out the thing about her dad.
