Jane Austen characters

I'm new to this and am interested in hearing which types fit her her characters.



I believe Elizabeth Bennett is an INFJ. Her sister Jane, an ISFJ. Bingley a ESFP. Emma seems to be a ENFP. My friends say Anne Eliot is an INFJ but I've always thought of her as a ISFJ. They also said Catherine Morland fits the INFP type. I'm an INFP and I can't stand her XD.

The ones I'm having problems figuring out are Captain Wentworth, Col. Brandon ( pretty much all the S&S characters.)

i think captain wentworth is an entj - very charming, adept socially, capable, leader, takes charge, but also quite tender to those he really care about.

Hm... what about the well known Mr.Darcy? ISTJ?

Mr. Darcy is a sterero-typical INTJ. complex character, dark on the surface, doesn't care what people think of him. His proposal was especially INTJ-like.

I always saw Elizabeth as entp. Particularly her habit of wilfully misunderstanding people for kicks. She reminds me a lot of a friend of mine. And she doesn't seem to plan things.

Elizabeth Bennet says what she thinks and holds firm ideas, makes firm decisions. For a woman of her time she is very outspoken. She is also quite outgoing, so I reckon ExTJ. She could well be ENTJ. Jane is ISFJ, yes.

Mrs. Bennet is ESFP?

Mr. Bennet...ooh, that sarcasm, the amused observer, the absent-minded man who never got around to investing to provide for his daughters....INTP?

D'Arcy could well be ISTJ, but I think more like INTJ. However, I think he has some FJ characteristics, although he seems too tough for either ISFJ or INFJ.

Emma's trademark is manipulating those around her....ENFJ.

Catherine Morland bored me so much I never finished the book. This makes her ISFx, as it seems these people (or at least the ones I know) are the ones I mostly have to smile politely at while mentally compiling my shopping list......with apologies to all those reading.......

I think the right INFJ could be pretty tough...consider Dumbledore - although perhaps an ENTJ - as a teen...he was pretty...tough in his views - as an older man he's capable of withstanding much more than most.

Well, Dumbledore and Darcy must belong to the different personality types.
Dumbledore looks very agreeable....... and Darcy scares every body else..
